Parkside Carry-Out — Restaurant in Maryland

Everything was fine until I started watching them cook. They took frozen fish out and put it in the microwave then into the deep fryer. It was not good. The lady who took our order and the money was also handling the food. I watched her take someone's payment. Then lick her finger to separate the plastic bag to put the food in. Then go grab my steak and cheese all with her bare hands. I went off and told her to wash her hands and make me a new sandwich. Clean and airy place with smiling staff, but a terrible food. $7.94 with tax for the smallest pastrami sandwich I ever had that consisted of rubbery and partially burnt meat and cloyingly sweet cole slaw drowning in thousand island dressing. I'm not even sure it was rye bread, because bread mostly tasted like burnt cooking oil. There is no sense whatsoever to go back to Parkside, when so much superior Beltsville Eatery is literally...

I stopped in to Parkside Carry-Out for lunch today. I was very impressed by the friendly attitude of the staff and fast service. I had my cheeseburger combo within 5 minutes of ordering it.
