Real McCoy Dairy Creme & BBQ — Restaurant in Maryland

Wasn't too happy when we went to the Real McCoy on Sept.3, 2016 or Sept.10, 2016, which we always stop there on our way back from the Beach. Was there with my daughter, granddaughter, and a family friend, I ordered a banana split and they said they didn't have any banana's..so I ordered a hot fudge sundae instead. But as I was walking to go find a seat, I glanced in the window and saw at least 5 banana's sitting on their counter, but I left it go. So the following weekend when we stopped there, I ask them " Do you have banana's this week" and they said No..they are out of season...I just laughed and ordered a hot fudge sundae again. And wouldn't you know it...as we were walking to go find a seat, I glanced in the window again, and guess what? There were 2 bunches of banana's sitting on their counter again. It did upset me cause they lied right to my face...my granddaughter even ask me, why did they lie to you Nan. I mean if they didn't want to peel a banana and cut it in half..I would have done it for them. It was a little upsetting getting lied to...And of course everyone wanted me to say something, and again I didn't. BUT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN...I THINK I WILL SAY SOMETHING. HAVE...

I'm sure by the reviews and everyone in line ordering ice cream, that they are best known for that. I ordered the jumbo cheeseburger and fries. The fries were hot and crispy- delicious. The cheeseburger was not one that I would adventure to try again (and I was really excited to find a Dairy Bar in Maryland!). I have ate at many, many dairy bars over the years. The bread was too soft and did not have that nice crust from a griddle top, the cheese was not the typical yellow cheese and the raw onions was a big slice- way too much raw onion in a single bite. I expected a nice crust from the griddle on the hamburger patty as well, but that wasn't present either. Glad I gave it a try but won't be back (I'm not an ice cream fan). I usually like to stop in here whenever I am close but was disappointed to see that they removed some of the ice cream options to add grilled food items. Don't get me wrong the ice cream is still good but their focus is no longer just on ice cream. Not to mention while we were eating our ice cream the owner brought a dog out of the back room to go for a walk then took him back in when he was done. I am all for having pets at work but not where food is being prepared. Will it stop me from going there in the future? No, but I wouldn't order anything other...
