On Saturday, 6/15/24, I dined in the Taco Tolteca in Fallston, Maryland, the next day when checking my bank account, I noticed I was overcharged $80.49. I contacted the Manager named Evmunvo on the next business day to explain to him the situation. So when I reviewed my receipt on Saturday prior to leaving the restaurant, if I was paying with cash the amount was $67.78, but since I paid by card, it was $70.49. In addition, I also gave the waiter named Raul N. a $7.00 tip. In trying to resolve the matter with the manager, he told me he could not put the difference on my card. He expressed that he could give me cash, and how do I want to resolve the matter. I said ok, but for the inconvenience you can make me an order of Burria Tacos. He agreed, so when I got to the restaurant today, Evmunvo stated, “Ok, I made you the Burria Tacos, which is $20, so do you still want your money back?” The manager tried to say, this was a mistake made by the waiter and it was his first time overcharging anyone. I let him know that I did not believe him because Burria Tacos is only $13.99, so once again they tried to get over on me. When I told him this was a huge inconvenience when I clearly wrote out the amount I wanted to give him for the tip, the up charge that I incurred when paying with a card, being overcharged and now, the Manager Evmuno still wanting to charge me for an order of tacos that should have been complimentary for a mistake on their part. Lastly, when I brought all of these issues to his attention, the Manager stated, “Do not come back in this store anymore!” He was very disrespectful, unprofessional, and unaccountable when his employee stoled from my bank account. I included the original receipt, but I am not going to post the other receipt because certain personal information. But you better believe this complaint is definitely going up the ladder for me because he does not deserve to be in management treating customers who consistently patronize this business in that manner.

Mother's Day 2024! It's unbelievable how great this turned out! The food was soooo delicious. It was difficult choosing a menu item. As a transplant from Phoenix, I've yearned for authentic and familiar tastes for about a year. Tacos Tolteca took care of that for me. A recommendation from Stacie, my daughter's Towson Elks lodge sister, was the golden ticket. We KNEW it would be on point! There was a sweet reunion with grilled tilapia and shrimp. It was so good, I almost cried. I also ordered roasted veggies, and the combination worked perfectly. The table holder had Cholula sauces red and green and one other, but i didn't recognize it, so in my haste, I forgot to check the name of it. My bad. Next time. There was a nice salad consisting of shredded lettuce cheese avocado pico de Gallo and a wedge of lime on the side. I squeezed lime juice here there and everywhere. It was the perfect unassuming side for the seafood. Let's not forget the crispy chips and salsa prior to the meal, along with what I believe was chipotle mayo. In AZ, I always added salt to my chips. Now I don't add salt to food at the table. I won't say I didn't miss the salt, but the chips were very tasty without it. For some reason, I always like to eat some tortilla chips "naked" during my feasting, lol. Ohohoho. I was so tickled. I ordered the Jalapeno Margarita on the rocks with a salted rim to wash it all down. My daughter ordered the chicken chimichunga; she loved it! I'm so sorry the photos are en devouring, but I remembered before we got too far gone... You can almost smell how good it was. This place is very close to my heart and made my Mother's Day very special. Gracias, Tacos Tolteca! I'll be back!

I've been to this restaurant a few times. The food has been consistently good. Service has varied, with the last visit being terrible. The atmosphere is ok. Definitely not somewhere you want to take a first date. There isn't a bar or good space to relax if you aren't having dinner. The drinks however are another story. Previous visits were at times when it was just for food. This time, the house margarita tasted like there was no tequila and my lunch companion, who is a complete light weight, completely agreed. We each had 2 and both felt 100% fine. The nail in the coffin of ever returning came with being charged $10 for each one. There are no drink prices on any menu, so be sure to ask. I was really wanting this to be my go to Mexican food place but I won't be returning. $70 for lunch with 4 drinks is unreasonable, especially when the drinks were horrible.

Tacos Tolteca maintains the same quality and value of their parent company La Tolteca.

As a Baltimore County Resident traversing down Bel Air Rd countless times to visit my Harford County roots, I mistakenly passed this restaurant without ever stopping. I would drive passed it to eat at La Tolteca, but I'm so glad I researched and found out they are related.

I have visited twice and both times ordered different items only to continue to be impressed by the quality and quantity for the best value in town! If you don't read any further just know YOU GET SOOOOO MUCH DELICIOUS FOOD!

The complimentary chips come with the delicious salsa and white sauce, something I have grown up loving. On the menu we have tried the California Burrito with grilled chicken, Grilled Chicken Jalapeno Club Sandwich, and the Tacoteca Bowl with pulled chicken.

Across the board the portions are MASSIVE. I tend to prefer quality over quantity and they delivered both on all the dishes. The California Burrito was the largest I have ever seen and packed with ingredients. This burrito is well balanced in flavor and doesn't have an overwhelming amount of rice (which in my opinion is just filler). The sandwich was packed with a large chicken breast, but the highlight for me was the Cheesy Jalapeno Vinegar Waffle Fries! A wonderful surprise. The Tacoteca bowl was all of my favorite ingredients of the burrito, but I was able to mix them up to get all to components in every bite. It was magnificent - I am a huge fan of the refried beans!

Every dish seems to be my favorite, but I am going to continue to eat through the menu because their are too many delicious options to order the same thing twice!

Oh and they are quick and attentive - just a bonus on an already delicious menu. They have a repeat customer and huge...

i want to start off saying that i never write reviews. secondly, ive gone to this location multiple times to where they even know our order when we walk in, their food is amazing. However the service ruined the experience for my husband and I. My husband went to order a margarita and the server Edith (female, long hair in a claw clip and wears black classes) she asked for his ID no big deal, she seemed confused and handed his Id back, then proceeds to ask another waiter to come over to us as he proceeds to say “the margarita will take a long time are you sure you still want it?” my husband answered “yes” then the waiter proceeded to say “well our machine is down to make it frozen is it okay if it’s over rocks” .. as we were confused my husband answered “sure”, the waiter walks away to come back and says “im sorry it wasn’t the margarita it was concerned for your id can i take a look at it” and my husband handed it to him and showed him the date of birth, the waiter says “give me one second im going to take this to the back to see you know.. if it’s valid” and i almost LOST IT, i asked the waiter to hand it back because not only did they lie about the machine, ask us 2 times for his id has now implied that he thinks it’s not “valid”. Now before this i gave Edith chances after chances as she is VERY SLOW, never comes around to ask you if you need a refill, if your doing okay and takes over 20 minutes to give us our check and now this incident i have LOST IT for this restaurant. very unprofessional. confused as to why she never got the manager if there was a issue yet proceeded to get another waiter. Edith i sincerely suggest you leave the restaurant business or find better ways to deal...
