Not everyone here is nice all of the time, and the same can be said of the food not always being amazing, but this is one of the only places in town to get something to eat, and the food is usually pretty good. The bartender gave me a delicious meal right before the kitchen closed, very late at night, and I felt very well cared for during it, and I've gotten addicted to "Half and Half" Maryland Soup, which is their blend of Maryland Crab Soup with Cream of Crab soup, and it cuts the saltiness of Maryland Crab while adding needed veggies to Cream of Crab, so it's worth it, and I wouldn't have know about it if it wasn't for some ultra nice waitress. I have to say, the worst thing about eating here is that some of the people I run into who are eating next to me are obnoxiously entitled and act like Thurston Howell while pushing around the waitresses, which is why I don't blame one of them for being a...
Read moreTen Oaks is amazing! My family has been joking for the past 10 years that our kitchen table is at Ten Oaks Tavern, we have had so many dinners there. We are so lucky to have a local restaurant with delicious food and such a homey environment. Every member of the their staff is friendly, and they make you feel so welcome. Their food and cocktails are amazing (best chicken ceasar salad in town), and they have regular live music nights with talented local musicians. I am especially impressed by how hard they are working during the Covid-19 crisis. They are open for takeout and delivery (delivering food and cocktails) and have already made several delicious dinners for my family during this time. The employees have remained positive and uplifting during the choas, and the food is better than ever. I hope they know how much this community...
Read moreDecent tavern food, but nothing to rave about. Several of us ate there and had a variety of items. We sat outside, which was a decent setup, but a bit noisy being in the parking lot. We started with the calamari, which was okay, not too greasy, but good. The chicken and beef burgers were the best with a variety of different preparations and toppings, which were all good. The most disappointing was the meatloaf, which was incredibly salty. In fact everything on the plate was over-salted, including the mashed potatoes, and especially the cauliflower that accompanied it. The veggie wrap was fresh, but a little sparse and could have been better filled. The wrap itself was fresh and overall good. Might visit again. Not quite worth 4 stars, but the choices in the area are limited and Ten Oaks is a...
