The Boathouse — Restaurant in Maryland

This place is rustic. I liked it that way, but not everyone agrees. It is outdoors, under a roof with fans, which helps in the summer heat. The bar is centered around a real wooden working boat, the Southern Belle, and covered with an innovative roof. There are vintage collectibles under this roof. I enjoyed the vintage outboard motors fastened to the rafters.

The marina and hotel that launched this bar probably launched it as a venture, and it's working. The bar is a good place to relax, and the cocktails are great. I had a grapefruit crush, and it was delicious. The food is "provisional," a food truck installed on site. This is creative, but none in my party tried it. A drawback for some is that the restrooms were port-a-potties.

My sense is that this bar was launched as an experiment to compete in the South County boating market. It is working, and people are showing up. The marina needs to dedicate food and restroom facilities, and this bar will take off. I would understand if they did not want that...

Looking for the best bar in Anne Arundel county (Deale) well this is it. Bar is a boat in an open boathouse. Plenty of parking and bands throughout the week. Check website for events durning the week. Great bar tenders great food truck (bbq wings my fav) go to the swag shop aka bus and grab a few shirts or sweatshirts hoodies from Cat (tips are appreciated). Hang out in the grassy section with tables and chairs. Clean restroom too. Very busy 3-6 weekends. And at 6 be prepared to stand take hat off for national anthem it’s tradition you can hear a pin drop when they start. Can’t go wrong. Bikers welcome check attitude in the parking lot. Colors...
