If you ever wondered what it’s like to dine in Poseidon’s personal seafood paradise, look no further than Poseidon’s Pub. I kicked things off with the Signature Crab Dip, a molten masterpiece of cheesy, crabby goodness that had me questioning whether I should just abandon utensils altogether and dive in face-first. The Buffalo Shrimp followed, crispy and coated in just the right amount of fiery sauce—spicy enough to wake up my taste buds but not so intense that I needed a support group. And then came the Lobster Mac and Cheese, a dish so rich and decadent that I briefly considered writing it into my will. Of course, no visit would be complete without the House Crab Cakes, which were all crab, no filler, and so perfectly golden brown that I wondered if they had been blessed by the seafood gods themselves. I washed everything down with an Old Bay Bloody Mary, because what’s better than sipping on a spicy, briny cocktail. Our server was excellent and very attentive, already planning my return. Read moreWent to dinner at Poseidon's Pub. A group of 4 of us. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I thought nothing could go wrong with that. It was cold. Not warm. Not room temperature, but cold. Others got different dishes and were ok with them. I finally decided to ask the waitress to return it to the kitchen. She said when she got there the manager was there and they both put their finger into it (since it was going to be thrown out) and were amazed it was indeed cold. I got a replacement. It was room temperature. Not warm. At least not cold. It was also the blandest most flavorless pulled pork I've ever had. I think you really have to work hard to make pulled pork flavorless. I won't go back there. You would think that after giving a (confirmed) cold sandwich, the replacement would be hot. You would be thinking wrong. I ate only about 10% of the sandwich. Also, I asked twice for no pickles. Of course, they came with pickles. At least the waitress...
Read moreWent on a week night. Only two other tables in the restaurant located inside Ocean Downs. Nice view overlooking the racetrack. I have been in there when it’s packed so be prepared. This night was great with no wait. Good service with our waitress checking on us frequently. The award winning MD crab soup is quite spicy and only gets hotter the further down the bowl you get. I was only able to eat half of it before I couldn’t enjoy it anymore. The waitress offered to remove it from the bill but I told her since I ate more than a few bites it was my responsibility to pay for it. If u like spice this will be perfect for u! Huge Caesar salad portion. The crab dip was good loaded with cheese. My boyfriend enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger and we still had lots to take home. Pretty reasonable too. Always a good spot when going to play casino games and you get hungry! Full bar...
