So I really want to like this placeâŠI lived in New England for a year and one thing I miss about the NE area is how many bakeries are around. So when I googled and found this one, I was really excited.
I went in today and had a decent experience. I would have had a much better experience if the guy helping me wasnât having such a bad day. You can look at my previous google reviews, Iâve never left a bad review over service before, so if Iâm mentioning it, it was bad enough to mention. I came in, looked at the case, asked for a yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting and pointed at it. I then went and looked at the lunch menu, saw the savory croissants, and ordered one. The menu states that they come with chips and a side so I mentioned I wanted the egg potato salad as my side. The guy helping me said they didnât come with chips or a side. I said, oh, okay, the menu says they do right here so I thought they did and I pointed it out to him. He said âno, they donâtâ without looking at the menu that's literally on the counter. And then just looked at me. Didnât ask me if I wanted to add a side on or anything. So I said âokay, I guess thatâs fine, I guess Iâll just have a bottle of water too.â He rung me up and didnât tell me if I was supposed to get my own water or if I was paying for a deer park or smart water so I just grabbed a deer park water on my own. When I got home I found out he had also given me the completely wrong cupcake, he gave me one that had been 2-3 trays over from the one I asked for and pointed at. I ended up giving it to my sister- itâs a lemon cupcake.
Still though, itâs not bad enough for me to not come back again, I still will likely be back to try the beignets but maybe Iâll just try to have someone else take...

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and items are fairly priced for the location. The decor fits the cafe feel. Its Creole attributes suggests the owners have be from Louisiana. They have a variety of daily platter options that have items like Shrimp Creole, Gumbo and Beignets.
I ordered the classic club sandwich on wheat bread. I was not pleased with the sandwich. The wheat bread was not super soft and was dry. Should have been a tadbit more mayo on the sandwich. They also left the stems in the lettuce instead of just nice fresh leaves. That was a bit annoying. They also don't seem to use freshly sliced ham or cheese. If so, i could not tell.
I also ordered Parmesan Pesto fries. The fries were amazing. Whomever thought of this combo did an amazing job. I recommend eating them immediately because they use real (not sprinkled) cheese on the top.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was also an abundance of diversity in the establishment.
Overall, the place is okay for a quick bite or a good sweet tooth treat.
The moneymaker for this business is defintely the desserts. I had the Coconut Cream cupcake. It has some standard real creamy icing on top (a little too high for my liking). The vanilla cake was very moist and soft. No dryness at all. The inside coconut cream filling had bits of shredded coconut and was very good. Aside from too much icing, it was very very good.
I am not writing them off because they may have better food. I just selected some more...

I ordered a cream cheese and a chocolate croissant, and regular beignets (neither of which I had had before). My boyfriend enjoyed the croissants, and I LOVED the beignets.
I also ordered poutine, a classic Caesar salad and a buffalo chicken sandwich.
The poutine was alright. I probably wouldn't order it again, though. There was something different about the taste of the Caesar salad - not sure if it was the dressing or what. It wasn't necessarily bad by any means, just different. I still enjoyed it & they are generous with the croutons which was a nice surprise.
The sandwich I ordered on sourdough bread - I thoroughly enjoyed it! My only tip is it could use just a touch more sauce as it was a little dry for my taste. Otherwise it was fantastic, and I appreciate that they toasted the bread.
Hash brown was also a 10/10.
Overall a good eat. A bit on the expensive side imo for what it is but I would probably order again and try...
