2024 update: unfortunately I have to change my review from one that was entirely positive.

Placed an order for a birthday cake after being a customer for over two years, many times of which we were told if we needed something special made due to my fiance's allergies that would be no problem. Well, after placing an order for a cake I got a call stating they couldn't fill the due to the allergy because citrus (the allergy) was in the frosting. I asked why they couldn't make a batch without it, and they kept repeating they make it in a large batch and couldn't modify it. I again clarified they couldn't make a small amount of frosting without citrus for one cake and they said no. I then told them to cancel my order, which she had to "check" to make sure they could.

For more than $60 for a cake, and after being told they could make things specifically due to an allergy and then refused, and being a regular customer... well, just lost my business completely. It takes 5 minutes to make a batch of buttercream....

Not sure how we haven’t stopped into The Chocolate Rose until this past weekend. We had passed it many times but never made the stop until I saw an IG post about it.

First, very cute place. Perfect place to pick up hostesses gifts and amazing desserts.

We actually stopped in for breakfast. The avocado toast is spectacular- such great flavors. The bagel breakfast sandwich was also very good… and yes you must get a cinnamon roll which was so moist and tasty… sweet enough but not overly sweet. Oh, the coffee is also very good.

This is mostly a take away place but they have little tables on the porch where you can seat down and eat but you do order inside.

This place will definitely will now be part of our breakfast rotation and can wait to order one of the beautiful cakes… which I can imagine are...

First and foremost I love our choices we grabbed. The Bog Frogs (cranberries, carmel and chocolate... All wrapped together) were blissful, the vanilla bean cheesecake was exceptional and lastly the lemon cannoli was great... But all were secondary in comparison to the owners. We are traveling through and were just mentioning we had to pull a u-turn to try their place out. They were sympathetic of the idea but honestly it was a blast (rental car... You understand)... So, they spend 10-15 minutes giving us tips and tricks for our stay in the area. Traffic information and awesome little gems to consider while we were here.

This little bakery tucked in a corner is...
