Prime Thyme Restaurant — Restaurant in Masontown

Not what we remembered from years ago. I really wanted to love it, but came home and ate after leaving. Maybe the owner isn't in the kitchen and doesn't cook anymore, and has newer cooks in the kitchen. Cozy atmosphere, and not overly crowded or too noisy at 6PM. Our server wasn't very attentive to our table, and we waited for drink refills several times. On one, I got the bottom of the coffee pot on a refill after being out for 10 mins. The food is under seasoned and rather bland to be honest. The best item we had was a bacon cheeseburger..the worst was the roast beef sandwich with mashed and gravy. The cajun chicken alfredo was very under seasoned and not much protein for $15. The steak salad had lots of irregular and inconsistent prep , and the steak was way over cooked and very thinly sliced. Not horrible for $10, but not great. Hoping they were having an off night, and may go back one more time to try it again. We had:

First visit here on a Thursday night at about 6. There were a couple of large parties in the dining room - one of which had a loudly crying infant, which were clearly the focus of the entire staff. We were a party of 2 from Kingwood and were seated after a 5+ minute wait at the Hostess station. We were seated in between the 2 large parties, and had to wait over 30 minutes before a waitress acknowledged us and came to take our order. It took another 30+ minutes to get our food, which was just slapped on a plate with no presentation at all. My chicken - the Cajun Chicken Breasts - were very dry and overcooked - the spice was very heavy of garlic with pieces of Rosemary I had to pick out of my mouth. Very small portion for $16 with a small side salad and small baked potato. We might be back for a 2nd try in the future because I have a hard time believing that a restaurant can completely blow the food, the presentation, and the service as bad as this one...

The atmosphere is to open. divide some tables with some plants or a piece of art or a little water fountain to make it more intimate. the music was good but not eating music. maybee soft jazz or instrumental country.. Need Wine!.. I wish u luck and I will keep supporting the restaurant and spread the word....
