Well, after a little canoeing trip, nothing sounded better than some ice cream on a hot day. Unfortunately, during my trip, my tank top got absolutely soaked! With nobody at the window outside, I didn’t think it would be too big of a deal to go inside without a shirt and explain nicely my situation and what we could do to get me my ice cream. The place is by running trails and, like I said, a canoeing place, so assume that my situation isn’t too out of the ordinary and that they’d understand. That’s not what happened at all. I walked in and held up my soaking wet tank top and explained why I didn’t have a shirt on, as I knew it wasn’t allowed. Granted, I was very nicely trying to just find a solution, but in return, I got a mockery made of me. The worker gets an attitude toward me, very rudely saying I can’t be in there. Then going out of her way to make the smart comment, “This is a restaurant. You wouldn’t walk into IHOP without a shirt on, would you?” Making me feel like an absolute idiot. Then, after she’s made her point, does she say I can go to the window outside. She couldn’t have nicely said that to begin with and solve my problem; no, she had to be smart and rudely make her point. From there, I just left; I didn’t want to speak with her anymore. I know I was in the wrong, but I don’t believe for a second that my situation is that bad and out of the ordinary that it required the rudeness she showed me. Now to why I’m leaving review. A couple days ago I had a problem with my order and delivery and at first, my problem wasn’t being rectified in the manner that was acceptable in the customer service business.
Instead of going full throttle on a review platform, I decided to reach out to their FB page via private message. I expressed my displeasure of the service I received from one of their staff members and in less than an hour I got a written statement back from the owners.
Mr and Mrs Lehman explained to me how the mishap of my delivery happened and their process of delivering to my location. Next, they addressed the response I received from from one of their employees and assured me that, it was very unacceptable in the way said employee handled the situation. Lastly they thanked me for giving them a heads up on my situation because it allows them to grow and correct things other than letting something like this situation fly under the radar.
I was granted my refund and I thought Debbie and Ernie handled this situation as best as possible.
I love to see owners involved in their business to this magnitude and trying to correct what was wronged, right.

I came in with my cat carrier due to her just finishing getting groomed in hope to get their delicious Reuben Sandwich The lady told me I wasnt able to bring a pet in there despite it being a carrier.. That wasnt really the issue... The issue was the facial expression and uninterested look in serving me like they never seen a black guy before. Looking at my surroundings seeing that its normally caucasians and them all staring at me made me very uncomfortable along with the way she told me about the pet policy... If the person could have at least smiled with a polite attitude and asked to go to the serving window instead it wouldnt matter and id be happy to do so.. Im sure it has nothing to do with my race..I might just have to start ordering for delivery to my house or prison job to be more comfortable. I might stop by and try again 1 day but...
