John George's — Restaurant in Massillon

We love their sub's here! They have some of the best sub's in town! Their Famous Double Trouble and the Roast Beef sub's are awesome! I have known people, that have come from over an hour away, just to get the sub's here! Anyone who lives in the Massillon area, can tell you, right where to find the place. And, I have known some people, who have visited their place and have had their sub's, from other state's, that make it a point to come back and visit the area, just so they can get their Double Trouble fix, as they have planned around getting the sub's, as they are heading to their vacation place. And, some have actually made vacations to here, just to get the sub's, again! At the time of this comment, the Double Trouble sub's were $4.99 each. But, it's definitely well worth the price, when you get more meat on it, than the sub's from other sub shops! And, I normally don't like onions on my sandwiches, but they slice them so thin, that I will even keep them on the sub's, just as the tomatoes are sliced thin. And, you can also ask them to make fresh sub's, with whatever altercations you want on them, as well. And, the staff is really nice and easy to work with. And, you can even stay in your vehicle, when you order your sub's, as they have a drive-thru area. And, the drive-thru area, is the old style, that you will see at the old gas stations, where you can get your drinks, or whatever else, with the overhead...

If I were to give someone a tour of Massillon, a John George’s Double Trouble sub would be a MUST HAVE!! It is truly the most delicious sub I have ever had. Perfect balance of meats, cheeses, and toppings. Not only that, but this drive-thru is deeply embedded in the community. They give back to the city and its residents. Nearly all the staff have worked here for decades, so they know so many people by name and have heart-to-heart interactions every single day. They also have very unique products, such as a huge selection of fresh baked goods made by the Amish community FROM SCRATCH! This is a true Massillon staple, and we are all so lucky to have a drive-thru like John George’s in our city! Best local convenience shopping in Massillon, hands down. Best subs in the area, maybe even the state. Great deli, great selection of locally baked goodies, and great service. For over 20 years now, I've been a weekly/bi-weekly customer. So statistically, it's safe to assume that I would've ran into some kind of issue, whether with a product, an employee, or something...ANYTHING! Never, not one issue. A couple years ago, I found myself in a pickle and I couldn't find trail bologna anywhere. I called the store and not only did they have it, but they sliced up a few rings for me in less than an hour for pickup. That particular day was my father's wake. It just wouldn't have been right if that trail wasn't there for that family gathering and I can't thank them enough for doing that for me, and for my family. Support this local...
