Chelle's Garden — Restaurant in Matador

This new establishment in Matador Texas was well overdue. What started as an occasional farmers market in 2023, turned into a wonderful garden of different varieties of plants, flowers, and fruits and vegetables for your planting needs in 2024. Recently, they've added food and beverage and a wonderful patio. This small town with a little over 500 permanent residents, also holds a lot of temporary residents from area work crews. With Matador being the crossing of two major highways, State Hwy 70 and US Hwy 70, this small town is well traveled through off the beaten path of interstates. Chelle's Garden offers a friendly, laid back atmosphere setting to grab a quick bite at lunch, grab a to go order to dine at home, or to sit and wind down from a long day of work while enjoying great company, amazing food from a food truck, or to sip on a drink of your choice and catch up with friends, and often meet new friends. It's definitely the happening place to be in Matador Texas whether traveling through, or you reside here or in the area. Pleasantly surprised by this little unpretentious spot. The steak fingers were outstanding, made from real beef cutlets. The mashed potatoes tasted like real potatoes, and the salad was fresh (I took my photo after I had eaten the tomatoes). Portions were adequate.
