Made reservations on Saturday night for 5PM. The weekends get VERY busy, it will be close to a full house. When we got there, a sign on the door stated there would be a 40-50 minute wait to be seated. An older couple ahead of us did not see it and asked if they could just be seated, the hostess is a true professional and was very gracious in assisting them despite how hectic it was. Call ahead!! Or if you want less of a crowd I think 2PM for lunch and perhaps 7-8 PM for dinner.
We were immediately seated by the hostess and a waitress approached and gave us drinks. I inquired about a cocktail menu which they don’t have, they have a beer and wine list but the waitress was awesome and said she could make me what I wanted. The Malibu bay breeze was yum! We received our bread and soup/salad in a timely manner and I added an appetizer after placing my order and it was no problem.
The clams were fantastic and a must if you love clams! We always order off the special menu. My brother got a steak, I got the turkey and biscuits (a classic that the waitress said they were selling a lot of. It’s like a mini thanksgiving) and my mom got the scallops and rice. All were very very good. Our waitress was extremely busy but never let us feel ignored and was so personable! After our dessert (delish) she thanked us for coming.
My one consideration would be the menu is overwhelming with how many options there are..I would think a smaller menu with the specials would work just as well and then I might try something...
Read moreFirst time I have been here to dine in years, definitely the last time. Start with apps, the homemade pierogies, the young lady brought them out, the outside was hot, the filling was still half frozen ( young lady did not charge us for them ) , wing bites tasted like a mix of pasta sauce & hot sauce, they were luke warm & not really that good & the mini potato pancakes, they were the only app that was half decent, frozen & boxed, but not bad, definitely not homemade. The coleslaw was ok, not bad, the pasta salad, dear God, corkscrew pasta swimming in Italian dressing, downright terrible. The 2 meals, I got the prime rib, told the girl medium well on the cook, when she brought the plate out the blood from the meat was all over the plate, I cut into the prime rib, totally pink, it was a second away from being back in the field walking around, I am totally disappointed, disgusted & irate at this point. My wife got stuffed flounder, the outside was overcooked & the stuffing was the consistency of baby food & cold. The young lady that waited on us had saw that neither of us finished our dinner & never asked if everything was alright. We use to come here on a regular basis years ago, this is the last time I will ever eat in here, Texas Roadhouse you get a better meal & the steak us always cooked perfectly. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND Alexander's, total disappointment & the bill was $75, we have have been better off stopping...
Read moreAfter 4 years I returned to Alexander's and I must say that not only the management and staff are better but so is the quality of food and the selections. Tonight I decided to try the Maryland crab bisque, the almond breaded duck, the honey-lime seasoned Norwegian salmon w/ rice and carrot sides as well as the Cranberry-Mango margarita. My friend ordered the turkey and biscuits with gravy. I'll start off by saying how attentive the manager and the staff were with making sure that we were seated at a table where we were most comfortable as well as freshly cleaning it until it was spotless. All staff were friendly and accommodating. As for the appetizers, every bite was flavorful and no spoonful was void of crab; every bite gave me more and more of exactly what I ordered and expected. Respect to the chef for the well cooked, garnished, presented and seasoned salmon. I honestly wanted to soak every bit of every food item I had in the honey-lime sauce. The sweetness and tangy flavors were just right; nothing overwhelmed the salmon but complimented it nicely. If this is the quality they can maintain I will definitely...
