Howdy y'all.
Well i been to several BBQ restaurant, trying to find the best dinner in BBQ, it's very disappointing on going for the first time and get the worst service, and to make it worst it was higtly recomended by good friends.
From the start the cashier did not know the menu so well, she was back and for whit the cook about the menu, the item in the menu the i ask for was the catleman plate, the chiken what's dry and appear to be boil and simmered in bbq sauce very dry and it was hard to swallow, the sausage also boiled you can easy tasted the flavor , the brisket very dry also simmered in a lot of bbq , i also ask for a lemonade to sweat to drink.
Custmer service it was pretty bad, when i was served whit the meal everything was pailed together in a small plate, no silver ware, i did get up from my table after waiting for about ten minutes and when i got my drink i also ask for straw, the respond i got here ok.this was a girl dressing like she ready to go to the gym whit a tatto on her right arm . To make things even work's on the last couple of bites, they turn off the lights on the dinning area,TV AND THE LIGHTS WERE OFF and somebody stud up at by the door ready for us to leave when i even have not finish my meal, that's when i told my wife let's go and we didn't say much, we got up and walk away.
Do i or will i recommend, this place i totally not ,but there might a lot folks that might like this place and will have a different way of think.
My self, just letting y'all know how i was served, will i give star for service TOTALLY NOT, for food i might give just ONE STAR I wont go back . AFTER ALL THE BAD SEVICE, LIGHTS TURN OFF AND FOOD QUALITY...
Read moreThis was my first time here, I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I ordered the Cattleman's plate ( brisket, sausage, beef rib, pork rib, chicken).
The beef rib was slightly dry but tender enough to bite easily off the bone and the seasoning on it was good, the chicken leg/thigh was very good I loved the tasty seasoned crispy chicken skin, the meat was soft and juicy. Sadly after that everything else wasn't as good, the pork ribs were extremely dry it was very tough to eat, the brisket was just okay it was sauced in bbq so I can't review the meat flavor like the others but it tasted okay, the sausage tasted like a cheap type of sausage, the sides all tasted generic not bad but also nothing that stands out.
They serve you chips and salsa while you wait for your food which is always a plus, there was a very uncomfortable smell of drainage as soon as you get inside.
Overall I don't see myself returning here, perhaps it was a bad day for some of my meats or perhaps that is just how they prepare everything, but for the price I paid I would have expected a higher...
Read more1st time enjoying some bar-b-que from Ramos BBQ & catering and I can truly say it was a great experience. I ordered the Cattleman's Plate for $16.99 & a Lg Sweet Tea for $2.49 for a total of $20 after tax which isn't a budget lunch by any means but for the amount & quality of food the price point is about right. The plate is good for 2 but could easily take care of 3 appetite's. The potatoe salad was my least favorite things about it the taste leaves alot to be desired by the beans more than make up for them bravo, well done. The Beef ribs had a nice char without being overdone or dry while the brisket was moist tender & flavor full. Bar-b-que chicken was good not dry & had a nice flavor & the sausage was excellent as well. The Sweet Tea helped to wash all that Texas goodness down . The environment is welcoming & really nice place to sit with family or friends & enjoy a meal & some good laughs over all an 8 of 10 will...
