I went to Taco Fiesta for breakfast because I heard they have great prices and the food is good. Once seated I was given a menu but I already was in the mood for an omelette. I ordered iced tea instead of coffee for breakfast. The server brought me chips and salsa, and a jumbo sized tea. I asked him about the omelettes, he gave me the run down on all the meat options, but I was not feeling them. I ended up ordering a cheese Omelette A La Mexicana, with Chorizo beans on the side, and corn tortillas. Note: Any Tex-Mex Dish or Taco you order "A La Mexicana" means it comes with diced Tomatoes, Onions, and Jalapenos mixed in. Anyways, the Omelette was good and the refried beans were cooked on point, I like that the beans tasted fried up, and had a thicker consistency. I don't like creamy refried beans, runny beans are often not refried in fat but rather reheated in their liquid then mashed. When it came time to pay, I could not believe my ears, only 8 dollars!! Anywhere else it would have been twice that amount.

This place has very affordable prices for their breakfast options, the breakfast was okay unfortunately everything was cold. The huevos rancheros for $4.99 you get 2 eggs, potatoes, refried beans and bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs was good, the refried beans are okay nothing special, the potatoes were soggy and tasteless and the bacon was not crunchy but very tasty. The cashier's are very unfriendly. Overall the price for the breakfast was great but the food in general was cold.

I live in Corpus, and we have better Mexican food than here in McAllen. Service is nice however I don't understand why the orders come out separately. The waitress carried two plates one went to our table the other to a different table. The fact they carried my food to another table where guest were talking over my food then brought it to me didn't sit right with me.

My friends took me here around 6:30 on a Friday night, so you all can get an idea what to expect if you come here around that time.

We were greeted at the door and told we could sit anywhere. We sat down and within a minute or two had our drink orders taken along with being given a generous helping of chips and salsa. We got another serving of chips and salsa when we got our drinks. Mind you there are three of us, so you readers have no fear of the restaurant being stingy with them.

I ordered fajita panchos and chili fries. The wait was pretty short for the entree and a minute later I got my fries. The only way we could've gotten our food faster would be if the server had six arms.

The food itself was fantastic. The tomatoes and onions on the dish were so fresh I swear the onions were making me cry. Absolutely no brown spots on the tomatoes and the onions were full of flavor. The meat was cooked perfectly and overall it just tasted wonderful. The chili fries used enchilada sauce and cheese for the topping and it works surprisingly well. I had zero complaints about any part of my experience here.

Now, on to what I've heard. My friends say when it's packed in here, say during lunch, the wait can get unbelievably long. I don't know the kitchen situation but it sounds like they don't handle lots of orders as quickly as they should. I've also read on here their refusal to admit service animals. Unfortunately I don't have a comment on that since I don't actually use one.

Overall though, I had a perfect experience here. Compared to places like Taco Palenque this place is the superior restaurant. Prices are better, serving sizes are bigger, and most importantly the...

No bueno. I used to enjoy going to this restaurant especially Thursdays for the delicious carne guisada... until today. My friends plate who had the same as I had a piece of steel wool in it as he began to eat. We informed the waitress and apologized and brought him a new plate. Later I used the plastic spoon that was in the salsa bowl to finish my meal. When I was done eating I noticed there was lipstick on the neck of the plastic spoon and was surprised I had lipstick on. I checked... and I was not wearing lipstick nor my chapstick. As I paid for my meal in full and included the tip, I explained in to the manager, Mr. A. Mensa (or "Meso" but should now be named "MENSO!"), our experience, he disregarded our concerns and did nothing to compensate or apologize. He just kept repeating "Thank you. Have a good night." When I asked for an explanation as to what will be done to fix this for future patrons, he kept repeating, "Thank you, have a good night." And nothing more. I will never return to this restaurant and I suggest you do the same. I'm so disappointed because this was one of my favorite restaurants but the proper cleanliness and disposal of trash is not followed and the management does not care for its patrons...

I wanted to give this place another chance since it was our to go place for Mexican food . Many times in the past for many years. We went maybe 6mths back and service was awful. Waitress seemed annoyed after asking her for extra hot sauce. Hello they serve it in extra small bowl. Like really small. Then she kept forgetting tortillas that came with my husband's fajita plate. My husband almost finished plate and she finally brought tortillas towards the end blaming cooks. Getting a refill was almost impossible. So today we visited again hoping new more attentive staff maybe.. but nope. Terrible service. Forgeful in every way. My limes a very simple request. I had to ask another waitress for them. Then when I mentioned to her she just smiled like oh sorry..also tostadas were over toasted almost burned. Food was just barely warm. So disappointed because I mentioned politely my experience to cashier. And she didn't even seem to care. Really?? I told her it was very different from years back. Also restaurant seemed dirty and tables sticky. Goodbye Taco...
