Urban Monkey Coffee Shop — Restaurant in McCalla

Must have been a down time when we went, because we were the only customers. Nonetheless, the barista was right there and ready to take our orders. The junky monkey, chocolate and banana flavor mix that absolutely SLAPPED, was great in both a cold latte with almond milk and a hot cappuccino. The mix of flavors was slightly different between the two, where the capp (even after cooling off significantly) tasted more like banana nut muffin, which was actually fantastic, but the iced latte was leaning more on a mocha flavor. Not sure why this is, because I doubt there are different amounts of flavor pumps between the drinks. Nonetheless, both were awesome.

There were two guitars on stands in the seating area, so maybe some live acoustic music is played in the very small and cozy interior seating area on occasion, which sounds like a lot of fun. There are places to sit further from this spot as well, bordering on qualifying as a different room, which would make for a more isolated and cozy experience I would assume.

The manager, according to the attendant, home makes the cheesecake to be found in the fridge across the room from the ordering counter. It was absolutely baller. Creamy and delicious with a nutty crust. Everything was worth every...

They can do all sorts of flavors and that's why I like most about them and you can actually taste the flavors and it's not too much. I love getting banana added It makes it so freaking good. I hope this coffee shop sticks around because it's right down the road from my home and they are always so polite. Please show love to small businesses and go by and try this place you will not regret it. Even though I make a complicated order he is always asking if I need anything else and nothing is too complex for them.

We were just passing through on our way back to GA, and we needed a pick me up. I am so glad we opted to pass Starbucks on the interstate and try a local small business instead. My family and I were a little too excited about visiting this shop. We had a 32oz caramel iced coffee with expresso, a 24 oz caramel iced coffee with expresso, a 24 oz caramel frappe, 3 chocolate chip cookies and a brownie for $29. I think that was extremely reasonable!! Our next trip to Mississippi, we will definitely be stopping through the urban monkey...
