Listen — I’m writing this review not to drag this place down, but to hopefully get through to the management. I genuinely love Cadence. It’s such a cool concept and a great addition to the community. I want it to thrive — but in order for that to happen, some real changes need to be made.
Let’s start with the service. The staff are nice enough, but they’re so slow — and it’s clearly a training issue that starts at the top. If I order a beer on a hot summer evening while sitting outside, I don’t want to wait 20 minutes. I want a cold beer now. That kind of delay is a huge turnoff and sets the wrong tone for the rest of the experience.
The food, unfortunately, is where things really fall apart. The menu is almost never fully available, the options are uninspired, and it all feels cheaply put together. People just want decent, fresh food made with some care — it’s really not that complicated. It feels like the kitchen is being run by someone inexperienced. A great example: we ordered the chips and guac, and it was clearly guacamole from a squeeze tube — for $9. Really? You can’t make fresh guac with a few avocados? That one small step alone would go a long way in improving the food quality and guest perception.
And if you’re going to do a concert menu on concert nights — fine, but keep it in the concert area or stick to your food truck back there. Don’t drag down the integrity of the main restaurant with that same pathetic, overpriced, thrown-together menu. Y’all should be downright ashamed of yourselves for the lack of thought and care that goes into those items.
Another example of Cadence totally missing the mark: Thursday night bingo. Awesome idea — people love that kind of thing. But it was $2 per bingo card per game. Like, seriously Cadence? It’s bingo. Make it free or $0.50 a card max. When your “prize” is a $15 gift card, most people have already spent that just trying to win. Can you really not part with a few $10–$20 gift cards each week? And if you can’t, you need to ask yourselves why.
I try to get friends to come here all the time because, again, the atmosphere is amazing. But time and time again, they pass — because Cadence has a reputation now for bad food and bad service. That’s a shame.
Here’s the thing: I get that it’s owned by investors. Maybe that’s part of the problem — a group of people who thought they could “set it and forget it.” But it doesn’t work that way. This place needs a real manager, a real chef, and some serious love and attention to detail.
We’re rooting for you. Truly. But you’re...
Read moreCadence+Clubhouse isn't getting the full credit/attention it deserves. The 3.5 Star review as i write this on an outside high top most definitely justifies this (beautiful outdoor views hello?!). I am giving 5 Stars to support this new local business. Once it gets to the well deserved 4 Stars (at least) I'll keep it that way.
First things first the building, seating inside and out, and bar just SCREAM Vermont and/or Colorado. From afar it looks like a church. But it's much more than a restaurant. This place apparently has live music to boot. 5 out of 5 for this little hidden gem on that front. If you ride a bike there is PLENTY of parking for you here.
Lets get to the taps. Three VERY important words. TAPS. ARE. CLEAN. Beer tastes REALLY good here. As time goes on one can only hope they keep it this way. If you're a beer brewer or distributor i wouldn't mind being on this menu right now.
Food. The menu is most definitely eclectic and not just tasty but fun. Again with the picture reviews i understand the COVID protocol but leaving a Salt & Pepper option would be beneficial. The Pita Pizza is a SOLID 5.9 on the Barstool Pizza Scale. Sure that number isn't the highest but it's solid with the excellent Caesar Salad Wedge that's offered as a possible side. Plenty of options to keep coming back to enjoy the beautiful views available. Again the "Crowd" that seems to be reviewing here may have a little bit too high of expectations.
Just met Tammy the kitchen manager. She just let us know that Wednesday Nights are Burger Nights and Saturday Nights are MUSSELS. Safe to say we will be back most DEFINITELY on Saturday now Tammy! Thanks for the tip!
Talking about staff. Sure it's young. But. They are here and they are working their best. I could only imagine this getting better and better over time. I am not affiliated in any way, shape, or form with this restaurant. But please. Lets all try to be a little more human and kind as we get back to "Normal".
Desert. Too full for a coffee but decided to take some biscotti's home. Had to take a taste. Safe to say I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning.
All in all this place is indeed a new hidden gem in the rough that a second or tenth visit is due. Not a true 5 of 5 YET... but it's a SOLID 4 as it is now. Really looking forward to seeing how this place evolves as time passes. ESPECIALLY with...
Read moreExcuse given from the hostess was that they had no chef. She did not warn that they would be slow as a result. Upon seating, it took about 15 minutes for a waitress to acknowledge us. We should have left then, but the waitress was sweet and apologetic. Once we received water, we immediately put our order in. It took at least 20 minutes for my husband to receive his beer. No asking how we were doing or if needed refills. It was the last we saw of our waitress. I walked in to check on status as was coming about an hour wait (we were seated outside and by then the sun was down and temp dropping). Who I presumed to be a manager in a white l/s shirt, she was on her phone texting. She walked away from me. I waited and finally a waitress asked if she chould help (she was the only highlight of a staff member). I explained the wait and wasn't sure if we should cancel or not. She expected 10 minutes and so I requested then for to be a "to go." I went back outside and wait time had since doubled and still our waitress nowhere in site. My husband then walked in and he was left standing there for a good 5-10 minutes for the hostess to ask if he needed help. The manager never addressed my husband. He explained the issue and at this point the food finally arrived. He took our food and paid $100 for nothing special and no apologies by anyone. We have eaten here before with no issues, but this was just ridiculous. Thr Manager needs to be trained on how to interact with customers and in turn to train her staff proper etiquette of service and for all to be off their phone when service is so slow and poor. Maybe if they were off their phones, they could better support the staff in the kitchen and check in on...
