Kool Cones of North Park — Restaurant in McCandless

I admit that this visit was marred due to an absolute melt down by my 3 year old after having some of his large cone scooped into a dish (apologies to anyone who had to partake in that). But beyond that, this is a cool little soft serve stand with some really enjoyable options and that feel you only get from a small ice cream operation on a warm summer night.

I tries the heralded raspberry soft serve, and found it truly something special, with the tartness of the raspberry mixing with sweet vanilla to be a very nice combo. My daughter got a rainbow cone and was very happy, and the couple normal bites my son had of his chocolate choice were nice. With nice cashiers and very fair prices for the area, it's definitely worth a go if in the area on any hot...

very disappointed in the staff. My friends have eaten here many times before, but this time an older lady with dark hair took our order. She had to clarify what we order many times and still gave us the wrong things. I ordered a classic cherry flavor blast fro-yo and was given black cherry. When I asked for normal cherry instead she reacted like I was stupid. She also was rude to my friend when she ordered a sundae off the menu without extra toppings because she did not want to pay extra. My guy friend ordered a fro yo as well and she gave him a sample of the flavor because I had received the incorrect one. Overall she was just very rude, slow, and disrespectful. Will never be coming to this location again, the North Park one...

The most expensive and tasteless ice cream I have ever had in my entire life! I tried 4 different flavors. I tried two in a cone, in a cup and even a shake and I end up throwing it away after 2 taste. Any Given Sunday in Wexford was the BEST ice cream in Western, PA until they closed during Covid. I wasn't a fan of this place but now my favorite ice cream or sorbets come from Bruster's in Gibsonia Rt 8. People with awful taste go to Kool Cones or they just don't know where else to go.
