Hi 5 Restaurant — Restaurant in McCaysville

Any time I have wanted to grab a bite of breakfast, I have opted for Hi-5, but this will be my last time supporting this business. The conduct of the owner that I witnessed today was absolutely appalling. I have interacted with most of the ladies that work in this restaurant and I can attest that they are the salt of the earth, always friendly, helpful, and as hardworking as I’ve seen. The owner on the other hand is rude, has an out of control temper, and treats the employees horribly. No person of authority should yell, cuss, belittle, and berate the people that they manage until they are at the point of tears, and especially shouldn’t behave like that in a restaurant full of people watching and listening, adding to the embarrassment. While the biscuit was good, the tenderloin was burnt and dried out from the heat lamp, the tater tots taste freezer burnt, the gravy had broken and been stirred back together and then served to me that way, and my scrambled eggs which I had to have her remake came out the second time with more white than yellow, which is not scrambled. This is the second time I've tried them and I am a local but I won't be back. I didn't pay $13.50 and leave it two dollar tip to not be able to eat 3/4 of my food because its simply not good. I watched the girl make the eggs and she never scrambled them before putting them on the grill, resulting in the whites having already cooked before they're stirred up into the yellow, which is not how you make scrambled eggs. This is a sad day for my family and I. We used to frequent this establishment often and we had stopped due to the wait times. I recently decided to give them another try, the first time we ordered at the front window and it took roughly 12 minutes for 2 biscuits. The second time was today, Saturday April 20th, and my kids and I waited 45 min total time in the Drive-thru. When we got to the window I was handed my drinks and asked to pull forward. I did not have a big order. After the three cars behind us got their order, they brought ours out the side door. I check the order and it was wrong, so I walked to the front window to get it fixed and watched employee touching cooked fries on a plate with his bare hands.
