Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in McLeansboro

I’m extremely disappointed in my recent experience at the McLeansboro Dairy Queen. After picking up several young kids from summer workouts, I took them to DQ for lunch. The orders ranged from meals, to ice cream and I wouldn’t call it cheap. After pulling away and getting somewhere to distribute food , I discovered I was missing a few items and the cheeseburger wasn’t a plain cheeseburger. I was not upset at all because it can happen; however I called ahead to inform the staff. The manager questioned my honesty. She claimed everything WAS in the bag and NO mistake possible. So basically 2 kids didn’t get their food so the others shared. I assure you there won’t be a next time anytime soon and I’m there often with a car load. I just went through the drive thru and they got my order wrong. When I came back, with the food and the receipt, they refused to fix it without charging me more. I would have gladly paid the .81 price difference that it was supposed to be but the "General Manager" tried to charge me $3.19 more. Then when I asked for her name and the corporate phone number, she refused to give me those. I looked on the receipt for her name and the person whose name was on the receipt wasn't even working at that time. So not only was she rude, she was working under someone else's name. I will not go back there again. Horrible...

Great job DQ! It has been a long time since I can say everything we got was perfect. Two visits in a row we got our food in good time and we're blown away with the food we ordered. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly and were fresh and hot. The burgers were also delicious and made correctly and the guys and girls working seemed to have it together and didn't seem lost like we were used to in the recent past. I just can't stress enough how awesome those french fries were both times. I can't wait.to.go back again. Keep up...
