Extremely Disappointing Experience, No Service Provided

⭐️☆☆☆☆

I recently went to Docksider’s Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with high expectations, but my visit turned out to be a huge letdown due to the complete lack of service and unprofessionalism from the staff.

After arriving, my husband and I waited for a server for 15 minutes, but no one approached us. We asked the hostess to send someone over, and she said she would, but another 7-10 minutes passed so we asked the hostess about our server again, and also asked to speak with a manager.

Finally, our server showed up, but things didn't get better. We only ordered drinks, but they never arrived - the manager never came by either.

At that point, we decided to leave. Our Sunday afternoon, which we had hoped would be enjoyable, turned out to be very disappointing.

The lack of attention, responsiveness, and overall disregard for customer satisfaction from the staff at Docksider’s Cafe were completely unacceptable. It's not what you would expect from a reputable establishment.

I really hope that the management of Docksider’s Cafe takes immediate action to fix these issues, as it damages their reputation and fails to provide a pleasant dining experience. It's unfortunate to write such a negative review, but it's important to inform others about the disappointing experience I had at this restaurant.

I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before visiting this place until they improve their service and...

My boyfriend and I came here today for our Anniversary. We arrived not knowing how anything was set up as this was our first time here. Parking was almost impossible until someone else pulled out. We were seated right away at a soaking wet table that my boyfriend then had to wipe down with his napkin to try to dry it off more than the hostess had attempted with a wet towel. Our waitress came over and stood between us and the table across from us and just stood there. The other table directed her to us because we were seated before them. She didn't greet us or even introduce herself to us. All she says is "Are you ready?" We ordered drinks and she starts to walk away before we could speak another word. My boyfriend quickly states that we would like an appetizer. She comes back with our drinks and we quickly order since she was clearly in a hurry. She brought his side salad first before the appetizer was even came out. (Fine) Appetizer came. It was good. Food came and was delicious. Our waitess NEVER came back to even check on us. Never asked how anything was or if we needed anything else besides the one drink refill my boyfriend got.. I understand that this isn't fine dining but I really expected better for a place with such high reviews. I do, also understand that everyone has their off days. We are looking forward to visiting again sometime to give it another try next year as we live...

Seated at outdoor table but waitresses ignored us while chatting with other tables. We ended up going to bar to get our drinks since waitress didn’t come after 15 mins. Ready for food but still no waitress after another 15 mins so we alerted staff up front that we had not been visited by waitress and they arranged for waitress visit who took our drink and food order. Waitress brought the drinks for other 5 people but not mine. She finally brought my beer 10 mins later. Then she brought out our food and forgot my food. After another 10 mins I asked and she obviously didn’t remember what I ordered. She eventually brought it out but looked as if it had been sitting for awhile waiting to be claimed by its owner. My burger was not that great—could’ve had a better tasting meal at Wendy’s.

Finally got our checks and waitress then disappeared on us leaving us to go up front and settle our bills. Waitress was not very good and gave us little service. Never asked how things were nor apologized. Realize the pandemic may cause some challenges but if you can't provide the servce then don't go into business--we're al sick of excuses. Place has nice view of marina but that’s all. They can’t rest on those laurels alone.

They also charge a "non-cash" fee of about 4% if paying by credit card--BEWARE!

I would not bother going back since we live locally—basic...

I had never been here before. A friend suggested we go. I went with no expectations and was really pleasantly surprised. We had drinks at the bar while we were waiting for a table outside. The place was packed. The bar service was probably the quickest I've ever had anywhere, and the ladies were very friendly and efficient. We sat on the deck for dinner and enjoyed a gorgeous view of the water. I had the fish fry, which was enormous, piping hot, and excellent. Our server, Amber, was awesome. Just a genuinely friendly and pleasant person. Drinks were reasonably priced, and considering the cost of everything these days, I thought it was great value overall. This is not fine dining, but a casual experience overlooking the reservoir. If you want something tasty but low-key you'll be very satisfied. My only "complaint" is that it would be awesome if they were open late on the weekends in the summer. I'd love to sit out on the deck and have drinks on the weekends, or even a late supper.

$$$ Moderately Priced Scenic Restaurant just off the docks with an excellent view of the Allegheny River and Mountains. Shade covers most of the outdoor deck and the 2-4 person tables. Larger Family sized 10+ adult and child friendly tables. Takes reservations. Wait staff was friendly food was great and the location is tucked so deep in the forest that if you were seeking a refuge from the forest, a place to relax after docking or a romantic or family night out for food this would be the place to go. Had the sampler, appetizers and fish sandwich my Mom had the Greek Salad and we had no complaints about any of it.

Put a finger down if you ever destroyed the corn dip at this place... put a finger down if you ever overtipped at this place because your server went above and beyond... put a finger down if being out of cell phone service is your idea of a good time... put a finger down if u ever had a carp nibble your toes at the dock here... put a finger down if you can't wait to go back... yeah, that's what I thought✊️
