JD’s Taphouse — Restaurant in Melrose

I love a bar/restaurant that has a personality! The owners definitely put a lot of work into this place. I just love it when owners take pride in their establishment and that is definitely the case here. There are lots of details in the aesthetics and it feels like a destination your visiting instead of just another bar. I always appreciate the finer details. The menu is great, the Pizza was excellent. I had a hard time saving half the pizza for my kid LoL I would definitely consider this one of the nicest places in the area and counties for that matter. I'm so sad we discovered this only 2 weeks before we move out of MN. An excellent atmosphere, within a really well decorated Americana setting. I wasn't a big fan of the sandwiches, but I tend to be a big appetizer fan, and wow, the wings and the pizza fries really do it for us. The bartender/waitress was really helpful in helping me pick out a tap beer, allowing me to sample something new and decide if I wanted to buy a full glass. We as a family go to JD's after every Just for Kix program and reserve the back room it's more private and easier with having young kids! We always order pizza and appetizers and we always have great service and awesome pizza, this time we ordered the taco pizza it was amazing! I'd recommend JD's for there great pizza and excellent service our waitress tonight was great she kept up with refills and checked in often to see if we needed anything!
