First time here and I appreciated this cozy little shop! The decorations were great! My partner and I ordered a little feast for ourselves, and the kitchen accidentally made extra food of what we had ordered and they brought it out to us and didn't charge us for the extra food. That was much appreciated. We enjoyed everything from the smoothie to the coffee to the French toast to the hash Browns to the sausage and eggs.
Unfortunately, we were not fans of the chicken strips and fries, as the chicken strips tasted like they were warmed up in a microwave and the fries were tasteless. We also ordered a vegetable omelet and it was packed with too many vegetables, in my opinion, and had a whole lot of cheese. I felt like I had to dig to find the egg since it felt like I was eating cheesy vegetables with a side of eggs.
The other thing that I will note is the ice cream seemed old, maybe? It looked good but it didn't taste as I thought it would. It had a weird texture to it that typically ice cream has when it is older (from what I know from my experience working in an ice cream shop when I was younger). I was also a little thrown off when the person who dealt with my ice cream cone didn't wash their hands or put on gloves before helping me. This individual was doing something else, cleaning I believe, and when I walked up to the register, he came to help me, which of course I appreciated, but then he was touching the register, which one can assume is dirty, and then went to find my cone after touching the register and whatnot. He grabbed the cone with his bare hand, no cone sleeve or anything, and then started scooping. I almost didn't want my cone anymore. My partner and I ended up eating some of the ice cream and then throwing the rest of it away.
Overall, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating and most of the food that we had...

Read moreSteve is amazing! Much of what we had served at our recent Gathered Oaks wedding was not even on the catering menu — Steve either offered to make us something he thought we’d love (which we did!) or we asked & he made it happen.
People went crazy over how amazing our food was. Everything was fresh & made from scratch!!! We served beef stroganoff, grilled chicken breast with Raspberry sauce & Béarnaise sauce, great beans, baby reds, strawberry feta salad, and a dinner roll buffet style. He also had his staff serve our head table so that we did not have to go through the buffet line.
Our late night snack was also not on the menu. I asked Steve in June if it’d be possible for us to do a soft pretzel bar. He told me he had never done one, but would check into it & make it happen. He then asked if we’d also like to add variety and do a nacho bar along with it. The night of the wedding, he showed up with THREE kinds of soft pretzels: salted, Parmesan garlic, & cinnamon sugar and a full nacho bar with any topping you could imagine. I was stunned. And it was...
