KFC — Restaurant in Memphis

RUDE AND NASTY FOR NO REASON. I walked into the KFC on Perkins here in Memphis, TN around 1:20 p.m. Had a pleasant experience with the young lady who took my order. I ordered a 16 pc. Meal . I like breast or wings so I asked if I could substitute my thighs for breasts and even offered to wait for them after she told me that they didn't have but 5 breasts. The young lady informed me that she couldn't drop more spicy because it would go stale. This was the first red flag , but I was tired so I said I would just pay the difference for the 5th breast and leave it at that.

I get home to discover that I only have 3 breasts 1 wing 8 drumsticks and 5 thighs. So I decided to return the chicken. My elderly mother could tell that I was tired, so she walked in to return the order for a refund. The manager takes the chicken and receipt from my mom and tells her that they don't give refunds and that they would remake the order. When I noticed that it was taking mom a while , I get out of the car and enter the store. The same young lady who was so nice before is now hostile and tells me that I had 5 breasts at the bottom. I respond by telling her that I had counted each piece and that there were 5 thighs , not 5 breasts. She continues to tell me that there were 5 breasts. Her manager didn't say a word so I just told the lady that I wasn't there to argue and that I simply want my order right. Once again I was told that they don't have spicy breasts. So, I told her to give me what they have and my wings since i only had one. And of course there were no wings either. Mom then told them to give me whatever they have so that we could leave. I got to the car and counted the chicken only to find that they had cheated me out of 3 pieces. I walk in and ask the manager if I could please have my 3 pieces. He looks at me and says I'll be with you in a moment. No other customers were inside by now. The young lady shouts "OH MY GOD!" "WE gave you all the spicy! " Another female mumbles and says we should call the police! Not only was I shocked , I was hurt to receive such treatment. I could understand if I went in being disrespectful but I never uttered a single derogatory word. Needless to say I will never return to that location again! The one who suggested to call the police even came out behind us as we exited . I guess she was trying to intimidate the old ladies. God has brought me too far to deal with ignorance. It's really sad to receive this kind of treatment from anyone. They BASICALLY STOLE MY MONEY and REFUSED TO GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR!

On 6/12/2023, coming from my doctor's office, I had to pick up a prescription at the Walgreens not far from the Kentucky Fired Chicken in the same vicinity. Since I hadn't eaten lunch, I decided to get an order of wings from Kentucky Fried Chicken. I drove up to the speaker and the young lady asked me what I wanted to order. I stated that I had noticed that there was not any chicken wings on the menu. She stated that there was not anymore. I decided that I wanted the child's chicken nugget. She said ok. I couldn't move because the line was long from the window. Again she asked me what I wanted and I repeated it reminding her that I had told her this about three minutes before. She argued that I hadn't but I knew that I had because I really was disappointed over the fact that they had taken the wings off the menu. She got excessively loud and then said "Well, what do you want?" In the background I heard someone say, "I am so proud of you, Destiny". I felt insulted!! What did I do? I was not hostile. I only stated a fact. I then told them that I did not want anything. With that kind of attitude, I was concerned whether or not they would contaminate my food- God forbid. What were you so proud of? First of all, she was arguing with me. Second, could you have been proud of the fact that she didn't use profanity on me - something that you were use to her doing? I am so disgusted with this location. I have had other dissatisfied orders there with cold chicken to "we're out of". No matter how many times I try to give this place a chance, it always disappoints. The last time I visited this location was in May of 2022. I will never go there...

One star of course for service and management alone. If you wish to simply have your craving fixed for some KFC, the product in itself holds its own. BUT, I will not return to this particular spot to have that fix fulfilled.

Customer service is MIA and the quality of speed to place your order vs actually placing and receiving that order is dismal to say the least. They seem to NOT care at all about the customer, and I came to find out the reason why.

The title assigned manager of property was prompted to call me yesterday due to a survey that I took the time to fill out. He to seem to not care at all about what I was trying to convey, and midway through my conversation it seems his phone went out, and he could not hear me. Really?

Okay, lets say the phone service hit a dead spot... did I receive a call back? No, and I did not - because he did not care to; the same as his employees did not seem to care to take my order in a timely fashion, in order to get to the 6 cars behind me waiting impatiently to...
