Sorrento Pizza — Restaurant in Mendham

I believe in first impressions as well as second if there is such thing, and their "service"as well as their pizza didn't impress me at all.

I don't know what they may have thought about me when the person behind the counter saw me, that as I approached to make my order, first off I was looked at almost with disgust as far as I could see.

Then the person that waited on me grabbed the spatula in such a fashion that for a moment I thought he was going to strike me with it, although I was thanked for my patronage, I didn't receive a greeting or the customary "how can/may I help you?" 😆 then my boss actually went in after I came out and he said they were rude to him as well.

I seriously doubt that I've ever setting foot in this establishment ever again, I didn't like their pizza nor their service, neither is "something to write...

New owner pumping out new school pies and twists on classics. Sourdough crust pizza and big crispy chicken sandwiches fried in beef tallow. I can’t think of a better combo. The pies are cooked to absolute perfect and is a 9.5 in my book. The “Pizzi” pie is thin sourdough crust with pepperoni cups, fresh mozzarella and dollops of ricotta and fresh basil. Chicken sandwiches and tenders are big pieces of chicken thigh fried real crispy in beef tallow which is a whole different taste and topped with lettuce , tomato and a special house sauce. Food might have gotten 2 stars but the dishonesty forced the lowest possible review. I was handed a menu and told a price price for toppings. When the total came up I questioned it. I was told "We raised our prices but we're waiting for new menus." To me that is fraud, you charge what you say you will. You want to charge more you update the register and the menu at the same time. Both items I ordered were more expensive expected but I was in a hurry and didn't want to find a new place.
