Service was exceptional! Our waitress did very well. The ONLY complaint and the only reason for the 2-star is due to an unethical practice by the management/owner. Our waitress deserved her full tip provided due to her exceptional service but instead, the service staff are forced to tip share. Meaning, that all the tips are put in a jar, and at the end of the shift, the amount is divided among all the serving staff. So if our server was better than another, she had to share her tip with another person. It also makes patrons NOT want to tip off that particular server's service due to the full amount not going to that person. I understand and agree with tipouts to help food deliverers or bussers, but not this type of practice. It's unethical and will put a sour taste in any server's mouth. Turnover is probably extremely high! I wouldn't stand for it if I worked there.
Do better owners! Those servers DESERVE to keep their own tips because naturally, some are better than others and rely on patron's generosity if they go...
Read moreZiggie's is wonderful family restaurant following Covid Safety Precautions! My mom's family is scattered across the state and have not been together for a meal since Covid 19 started. They lost one brother in November to Covid and have the rest of the siblings with many medical problems and some dangerous surgeries coming up. I called to see if we could meet for lunch there and Ben, the manager was gracious to give us a private room. We stayed within the guidelines but felt much safer without others around. We had 10 guests and every single person enjoyed their meals with big portions and lots of left overs. Our waitress, Debbie, was very patient with our seniors and gave us special attention throughout the visit! Many tears were shed along with prayers that this would not be the last time that they could be together! Needless to say this was well worth the drive and the restaurant and staff will hold a special place...
Read moreWent to Ziggies for lunch with a friend. The parking is convenient and has ample handicap parking. The restaurant has an an indoor ramp to keep wheelchair users out of the elements. They offer a covered drive up curbside service if you choose to order takeout which makes it very convenient. There were 2 of us at the table and we requested separate tickets, when our meals arrived part of each of our meals were on the other's plates and the sandwiches didn't have the correct toppings we ordered. The waitress although very friendly appeared stretched very thin and was having a difficult time of keeping up. She did mention the reason our meals didn't come out correctly was because the owner was on vacation so I am assuming things go better when he is there. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable with plenty of tables. The tables however were very close together so not real covid...
