Really wanted to give a higher rating, but it's honest, and I don't want others deceived by all the 4 and 5 star reviews. On the way home, my boyfriend asked me what I'd rate them... Quickly said, "1 star" and I asked my boyfriend and he'd give them a 2 star. I got the Mottes Burrito and my boyfriend got the vegetarian omelet.
My experience: Woke up wanting to have a good breakfast to start my Sunday and before my boyfriend is wrapped up in football. After reading Annie's reviews, we decided to try this mom n pop shop. Outside the restaurant is very clean. We walked in, and it was empty with one customer at the bar. I was hit with an aroma I couldn't put my finger on. We waited a while and decided to seat ourselves. It took a while before someone came from the back. My boyfriend said 2mins but it seemed more like 5mins. An older man came out and gave us our menus and took our drink order. By then, the smell was bothering my eyes. The aroma smelt like the gas stove was on too high. After our drinks were delivered, the older man gave us our silverware and took our orders. The older man had a really hard time hearing our orders. Not a big deal but kinda frustrating at the same time. While we waited for our food, I read more reviews. Someone said it smelt like burnt oil, and it definitely did. By this time, I had a headache from the smell.
Our food was brought out. Boyfriends food looked appetizing, minus the kraft cheese on his omelet. My Burrito was poorly wrapped with one grilled onion in it... like someone else mentioned they experienced. Parts of my burrito were cold. For my burrito to just come from the kitchen and it was cold, I wasn't thrilled and made me really question what i was about to eat. My boyfriend ate most of his food. I ate a few bites but then got nervous that I'd get sick. Gotta be really careful with pork. I liked the older people running the place, but I think someone needs to help them for the quality and customer service of the restaurant. Obviously, we will not be...
Read moreI love, the staff!! Our family goes about 3x a month just because of the staff. The food is good, but you can get most of it anywhere. It's the staff that brings us back. They're amazing. Annie is a doll! Natalia, yes she is always that positive and is the sweetest person in the world. Chris always remembers us and treats us like gold the moment we walk in. Oscar keeps up the customer service between any staff to make sure everyone isn't missed. In the 4-5 yrs I've been coming here, I've never had a problem and absolutely love the people and atmosphere. However, Sami needs to go. The way she spoke to me about my daughter was unacceptable. I honestly felt like she had a problem with us just because she was having a bad day, but if were bothering you just because were breathing then you need to go home for the day. My 12 yr old doesn't deserve your...
Read moreIt's a little hole in the wall, but don't be fooled by the outside appearance and location, the inside is old but very clean.
The guy that cooked our food doesn't have the best hearing but pardon my language but damn that man can cook, he whipped up our breakfast in no time, the aroma of our food being made in the kitchen was great for we were the only ones there when they first opened at 6 a.m.
The food hands down was beyond delicious and real, not like the fast food premade in a factory type you get at Red lobster or Olive garden for Denny's or IHOP, but home cooking at its best.
The French toast was great, omelet on point, and eggs and sausage perfect.
The prices are insanely cheap, it's like I was looking at a menu from the 90s, I hope the guy at least a profit, that's how low the prices were.
I will definitely...
