Village Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Mentone

We were at Desoto Falls SP and I was craving something sweet so I googled and found this place. Luckily I had enough cell service to map to it. The business is a little hard to see because it is higher than the road and the business is not well marked but I would suggest making the effort to find it. I ordered the banana split and had a seat while they prepared it. They brought out the biggest banana split I'd ever seen! I worried we would not be able to finish it but not being one to back down from a challenge, we were able to finish! I would suggest you patronize this local establishment. My husband and I drove by, and saw a couple eating ice cream on a bench, thought that would be nice. Went to the window to order, the older man inside was talking to the lady in front of me, they talked and talked, then he invited her Inside and continued to talk. The man looked right at me but continude to ignore me. We stopped by here a couple weeks ago for the first time on a long motorcycle ride and found a true hidden GEM !!!!! Not only do you get a huge amazing amount of ice cream , the flavors are many to pick from and at a price that’s the cheapest I’ve ever had these days . We made a special trip today and I live 2 hours away just to make a stop by here and get some Mountain Views right up the street . If you love ice cream at a great price...
