Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Mercedes

Stopped at the new ChickfilA drive-thru in Mercedes on my way to work earlier tonight. Ordered what I have always ordered for the past 9 years AT EVERY CHICKFILA ANYWHERE... grilled chicken sandwich meal with double-toasted (or double-warmed) buns and extra pickles. The employee over the drive-thru speaker tells me they can't double-toast buns. First she says they CAN'T do it. After I responded that I always order my sandwich like this at every ChickfilA I have gone to without any issues, she says she will ask her manager... comes back 5 seconds later saying they DON'T do that at their location. I asked for the manager. Manager said the same thing. So I reworded my request, asking instead if they normally warm their buns before serving, to which she answered YES. I asked if they could warm mine either a little longer or just run them twice through that miraculous device called a bun warmer. Said she would see what they could do. Got my order with cold, soggy buns. Oh, and those extra pickles I asked for? They put ONE, tiny pickle slice in a plastic baggy in with my order. ONE. The only thing I can deduce from this experience is that they are watching their bottom line very carefully, not wanting to use additional electricity to run buns twice through a bun warmer and skimping on the pickles. Rejecting reasonable requests from their established customers may prove bad for business. I'm not...

Ok....today....completely different than yesterday posted below? Today the tortilla was hard on one end, the sausage wasnt cut up and just thrown in the burrito in large pieces. The hash browns were undercooked and raw in some spots. I didn't even finish my burrito....ughh! The cashier was not listening well and i had to repeat everything 2-3 times. Two days in a row they dont put napkins in the bag in the drive thru??? Last - they don't offer Veterans a discount. Yesterday must have been a fluke...I'm visiting for the week, but won't come back to this location after this!

First....the sausage burrito was one of the best I've had a 100 different Chick-fil-A's all over the Country. Tortilla was fresh...it was full but not over full. It had a fair amount of sausage....other locations are always so stingy with the meat....and love to overfill with hashbrowns. A+ today.....absolutely loved it!

Service was a tad slow and a tick less than enthusiastic.....no napkins in my bag and I didn't see anyone hustling. Overall they did good...but I think they could step...

I ordered online for delivery at 9:15 and was estimated to receive the food by 10:15. Well, it was already 11 and I still hadn’t received my order. So I called and the girl struggled to find my order. When she finally found it, she said “oh the driver just got back, he’ll take yours right now.” I waited another 20 minutes but never got the notification that they left the restaurant, so I just canceled the order (already 2 hours since I placed it) and went somewhere else. Not to mention that I’ve already gone other times and they take forever to bring your order out to curbside, so I had to get off and get the order myself, and then it was missing items to top it off. Also, these kids aren’t trained to say “my pleasure.” You say thank you and they don’t even respond! Next time I’ll just order from Weslaco and get it fast and...
