So I'm gonna be honest, I kinda miss wise guys. But me and my girls had to try here. I'm slowing trying all the pizza in Connecticut and rating it with my family and finding our favorite. Although this wasn't my favorite, it wasn't bad. Everyone has different wants with pizza so I'll try to be specific and descriptive and you can decide if it's the pizza for you. What I liked: The sauce was pretty good, I liked the oregano on the pizza, not everywhere adds that seasoning What I didn't like: I'm someone who prefers the more thin sliced crunchy pizza, this is thin sliced but not the crunchy version. Although the sauce was good it seemed idk maybe too watered down or had too much oil, I bet the sauce is really good on pasta though, mmm, we might have to try that next if they got that. All in all it was a pretty good pizza, even if not my favorite, it's still going on our list for places to go again. Especially cause it's our hometown and right across from one of our favorite parks

ok read reviews and stopped in. Not sure if family members or employees are writing the reviews but way over exaggerated on how good the food/pizza is. sauce on pizza is beyond watery and had a weird sour taste. Way UNDERCOOKED bacon totally unacceptable and veggies cut into huge chunks. Not to mention they keep the door open so you get all kinds of bugs in your food. NOT even close to the best pizza in Meriden or anywhere for that matter. First and last time. Only thing good was the 2 liter soda. took 2 bites of the pizza and was done. NO good pizza ever comes out of this location, has changed hands more times than can remember in like 5 years.. they have Italian decor and stuff all around the shop, but that sauce was far from authentic Italian pizza sauce. I shared a slice with an Italian with family roots from Rome, she found the sauce mediocre at best. ALSO LONG WAIT TIME ad still ended up with UNDERCOOKED BACON..

First time trying this new to Meriden pizza place. They have mastered their craft as they also have a Waterbury location. If you like a thin crust pizza, you'll love it. It's the thinnest crust I've ever seen. I did have to fold my pizza in half to eat the 1st piece, then I got used to how thin it was and as it sat, it became more firm. The food was fresh and the steak and cheese grinder was stuffed! I like a pizza I could pick up without it slopping down. After a few minutes of the box being open, it firmed itself up. I also like when the pizza goes all the way to the crust rather than skimping out on the toppings. Perfectly done. The flavors are absolutely delicious. Definitely will order again. If you order on line, you will also earn rewards which is always a win!

Edit....11/11/2024

We were greatly enjoying going here and we were getting weekly specials on my text and delighted with the results.

UNTIL...

One day I went in and something didn't appear right. The people that were so nice to us and making that nice food at a great price were acting like I was bothering them! The lady running the place told me that the next time I come in I need to change my Yankees hat to a Red Sox hat. At first I thought she was joking but she was getting a bit serious! She didn't even seem to know when the Red Sox were playing that day so she wasn't much of a fan. But if she wants to play the local Yankees/Red Sox thing, have her seek out the lady who used to run Liz's Diner and ask her how that story ends. (Not to her own fault!)

Finally and most importantly.....we got dreadfully sick on the food and my wife was in bed for a week! I was down for 2 days....it was OLD food and horrible this time. I didn't let them know because I didn't think it would be taken seriously because....well.... I'm just a Yankees fan!

Anyway....we are tired of Meriden dining inconsistency and attitude. We are done with the "support small business" thing. They all start to change the minute you get used to them and they have a little bit of success.

I doubt they'll see this but hope someone does .

Change to 1 star...
