Mac's Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Merrimac

Stopped by with a friend to grab a drink and burger in celebration of a work accomplishment, only to promptly be denied service due to my out-of-state driver's license. I don't blame the bartender, I've worked as a bartender myself for several years and understand it's better to play it safe than sorry when you're unsure, it just sucked in the moment. We'd driven 30 minutes out of our way to check out this bar specifically on a friend's recommendation, and were super excited. Once denied, the bartender offered no explanation other than that he could not accept a Texas ID - he wouldn't scan it, quiz me, nothing. We left feeling dejected, and honestly like he just didn't want us there point blank (I'm nearly 24, and this was the very first time my ID has ever been rejected). Took A Chance on this bar with Dipsy and Laa-Laa. Megan the bartender was an absolute Super Trouper and Fernando made some amazing wings that had me saying Mamma Mia.

Me and some co workers were in town and had a bad experience at another bar so we ended up here and this place was amazing. Both the lady working and owner were super nice people and fun to talk to!
