Tonight(December 4, 2017) at the pre opening, as I drove into the parking lot (already in the parking lot which was open and clear and full of potential customers) a man with gray spiked hair a white long shirt and yellow-brown vest, suddenly stood in front of my Odyssey point in me to park on the other isle of cars as if I need to park and get in line outside to get a free ice cream instead of the drive thru, I motioned puzzled as I'm trying to just to the drive thru because I had 2 young children under 3yrs old that had just fallen asleep. As any mother would do or would be incrediblely frustrated that this man would not let me go to the drive thru. He stood there dumbfounded in front of my mini van for almost a minute or two staring off. I was on the phone with my sister telling her that I made it into the parking lot (I just wanted to get treat as she is pregnant and I wanted to do a nice thing for her )to go to the drive thru , it was fair game and suddenly this guy got Infront of my van, ( I understand now that they were trying to end traffic in the parking lot and to the drive thru) but I was only one more. (No one else came behind me) this guy finally walked a little over as another car was to my right as trying to back out I needed to pull forward to let them be able to back out. I pulled forward and go to where I needed to go. I was there and it was fair. As i approached the entrance of the drive thru line , this same guy suddenly popped into the front of my car again but with a gate smacked down open into the ground. He was completely rude and didn't take any care to keep one last customer there or welcomed to try Andy's ice cream for this pre opening night. This is terrible terrible customer service. I will never come again as this situation happened. It's really embarrassing as he was clearly an adult had to act that way towards one more potential customer, but he blow it and ruined it! Either I'd gone thru the drive thru or gotten out of my car to wait in line while there was still 3-4 lines full of people outside. I just don't understand what the difference really was here, expect for down...
Read moreGot a concrete butter pecan, was a 1st time customer, and had NO IDEA what the heck a concrete was. The guy taking my order was not a very helpful person, seemed to be more agitated the more questions I asked. When I received my order, they did not push the straw into the cup very far and when transferred from his hand to mine, the straw hit the top of my window frame and flipped out with a big spoonful of concrete. He apologized for that... and I expected him to rectify the situation by giving me another spoonful of vanilla custard... But that was not the case. I had just spent almost $6 bucks for this and did not want to be shorted in any way, even a big spoonful! I had to say something... so again he apologized and after having to tell him some of it was missing, he got another spoon filled with vanilla custard and gave that to me. But... I should not have had to mention it, he should have automatically just done that. Anyway, gotta give him a break, he was young, this is probably one of his first jobs, just needs more training in customer service. All in all, the concrete was very good and I will...
Read moreWow! What a change. Frozen custard is a delightful change from ice cream. There is walk up and drive through available. The drive through has menu boards but ordering must be done at the window. There is no speaker box at the menu board. Don't be waiting forever like we did at the menu board. There is also an over sized menu board even bigger than the drive through board up in the front for walk up orders. I thought that was quite funny.
The strawberries on our orders were very fresh. The chocolate drizzled into my custard was thin, flakey and very easy to eat. They had beautiful flowering cacti in their land scaping. There were many seats outside to sit on to enjoy a custard and a beautiful day. There are beautiful views of the green golf course in the back.
There was handicap parking right up at the front of the building with easy access ramps. The exit had a pedestrian crossing sign to encourage the drive through cars to give foot traffic the right of way. I love how this business caters to non car patrons.
Many families must enjoy this place. A family on bicycles was riding up as we...
