Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Mesa

So I normally go to the stand on the corner, but I will come to this one in case the other one is closed or too busy. What I have noticed (compared to the other stand at the corner, also with other ones) is that this particular stand is SO FREAKING SLOW. I get it, you’re busy and whatever else…but why does it take so long if there is only two or three cars ahead of me and they all get only one or two drinks themselves. There’s been multiple times where I have couple cars ahead of me and I’m in line for like 20 minutes and they already took our orders while waiting, and you would still have to wait a long time for your drink no matter what. Again, I understand it takes time to make the orders or people are new and learning, but it’s just why does it take so long? Mainly compared to other stands… and even if you put in a mobile order you’re STILL waiting a while even if it’s for pickup at the window.

The workers are nice for the most part. And the drinks are fine, but I would say if you’re in a rush don’t come to this...

Get this….. Young lady taking orders in the drive thru line comes to take my order, I’m in the far outside lane and I let her know that the other car in the inner lane was waiting long before me, nobody behind either of us and she tells me “it’s company policy that she has to take my order first…🤔 Now I’m not the smartest person but really, that is some BS!! I do not like it when other people cut in front of me or cut me off for service so I let her know that I wasn’t gonna go before the other person and she still refused to take their order before mine using the “Company Policy”. If it’s in the company policy to be unfair to your customers, then I won’t waste my pinion dollars here any more. That’s complete bullshit and not right.

BTW, I remedied this line of BS by driving off and back around in the line to get behind the car that was there before me…..pretty sure it pissed off this unfair associate and she damn sure didn’t get a tip from me….yep, I’m that guy.

This is a new location and probably the best thing about this location is that the one that it was replacing (about 100 yards east) is still open. So you can check both locations to find the shortest wait time. Both locations are single drive-through setups, so it's nice that there are two of them. Both have great employees and the vibe is great. If you like black tea, I highly recommend trying one with light-ice and no flavoring. It is somehow magically refreshing. My second favorite drink is an iced double-dirty chi with coconut milk. Amazing non-dairy...
