I want to start with the fact that I have never left a bad review on google. Not once and it saddens me to do so. This is the first and last time I will be ordering from Dickeys BBQ. I have never been so disappointed and also insulted by a restaurant in my life.

I had a corporate lunch I needed to order and have delivered in a specific time frame for a scheduled lunch slot. Dickeys BBQ was recommended as fast, convenient and good for the value place to order from. I placed a decent sized order via a food delivery app for lunch at our office. I've worked in the restaurant industry in the past and knew it was a large order. I allowed plenty of time for the order to be fulfilled. [It took 90+minutes]. I had no issues with that even.

I ordered [The BIG YELLOW Box Meal- which showed a photo of 2-1lb meat options and 3 LARGE sides]. I chose chicken, and brisket for the meat. FYI upcharge $60 and an additional $40 for each of the meat sides chosen. For the 3 sides: coleslaw, green beans, and BBQ beans they were included in the $100+ big yellow box option with the meat choices adding another $100+]. Again, this claimed to include 2 lbs of meat and 3 LARGE sides and 12 pieces of Texas Toast. Additionally, I added 2 orders of Full slab ribs, 1 lb of sausage and a family sized potato salad to ensure I had enough food for all 16 guests. Some of whom flew in from other countries and were excited to try American BBQ for the very 1st time.

The issues that are worth noting so no one has to experience what I experienced were:

  1. When my $400 order arrived it Included 3 very small sides of coleslaw, beans, and Mac and cheese [I ordered green beans, not Mac and cheese]. When I say small, I mean literally a side order that comes with a meal for 1 person just 1 small container of each side, period. The 12 pieces of Toast came as a bread bag untoasted just plain bread in a bag. $400 dollars worth of food and 3 individual sized sides for all the meat? Based on the description and 12 pieces of bread. These small sides ruined our corporate lunch. This was not what was depicted or reflective of the photos, [product description or price paid].
  2. I called the store after receiving the order. The moment I called and alerted the store the gentleman that worked there proceeded to berate and belittle me for no reason. He immediately began putting me down and outright refused to give me the green beans even when I said the mistake was fine and I was willing to pay for the tray of green beans. Forget the loaf of bread I toasted it myself for the guests.

From there the call went sideways. He went on to yell at me for ordering my order at 11 AM. Stating I had "ruined their restaurants day cleaning them out of the food they had for the day. It was my fault and he had to turn away customers because of my order. He said and I quote: "I cannot provide you green beans, even if you pay and pick them up yourself. Who orders that much food at 11 AM? Are you the same person that did this to me last week? Let's be honest here you ordered a catering order and I gave you whatever you have. So no, I cannot help or make any further food for you even if you order and pay for it. We only get large orders after 3 PM. So no, there is nothing further I can do for you."

I attempted to speak but he did not let me and continued ranting and stating he could no longer help me with anything. Once he stopped after 10 minutes of this ongoing lashing out at me. I simply stated thank you I will just figure out something else and I hung up. The customer service was TERRIBLE and accusing me of ruining the restaurants entire day by providing them with $400 in sales for lunch was not what I expected. I ultimately had to drive to a local salad place and buy more food to ensure vegetables were a side option. Key point: Do not order any order aside from a lunch combo from here unless it's after 3 PM, per the man on duty. Also, expect a loaf of bread and small sides. Terrible experience,...

I had the longest weekend, getting home late the last thing I wanted was to leave my house, I ordered Uber eats, the Uber driver was great! I then proceeded to check my food, I ordered two sandwiches, 1 sandwich was pulled pork the other was a brisket sandwich, at this point I didn’t even know which was which. I’m allergic to pork, therefore this is why I’m saddened by the “managers” behavior. I then decide to call because the sandwiches were not even marked they both looked like pulled pork, they were identical, the Manager “ Jayla or Jayda” then basically told us that she didn’t know how we were going to find out which sandwich was which she was so careless and so rude! WORST ! Customer service ever, she hung up like 3 times and her excuse was that the phone died, yes because the phone at a public restaurant tends to die all the time right? She was raising her voice she didn’t even let us talk, I never leave bad reviews but this is unexceptable, we didn’t want free food we just wanted the problem solved, she wasn’t even sorry, if she would have handled things right and at least apologized this would have been a different story. Long story short she told us we needed to take the food and receipt in order to get a refund, we then decided to drive over there even though it was 15 min away it was so innconvinient, then she called to tell us that the refund will go until the next day. If I were a manager I would never treat a paying customer the way that she treated us it was as simple as “I’m sorry, how can we make it up to you can we make you a new sandwich ? We would have been glad to take the old sandwiches back , and get new ones. but her mistake was that the first time she handled it horribly the second time as well and the third time too, since she hung up 3 times! I will never order anything...

I haven't ever had an experience like this here.. I tried to order some dinner for my boyfriends birthday, they always send the best coupons via email so we decided on Dickey's. I attempted to order through the internet browser for delivery, but when I entered my payment info and hit checkout, it gave me an error message and told me to contact the store. I called the store and when the phone was answered, there was barely a "hey" on the other side. I wasn't sure if I was calling the right place at first, then the person on the line sounded a little frustrated since I wasn't speaking and finally said the store name. I asked about the error I received and he said it wasn't their fault at all and to contact my bank or to try on the app. I asked about calling in the order and he said I couldn't do it for delivery and to try the app. Slightly frustrated, I said okay and downloaded the app. I made a profile and everything, added the food to the cart, used a DIFFERENT card for my payment, and received the same error message to call the store. I called the store again and asked about the error, if they had gotten an order in at all and they hadn't. They told me it was my bank again, but I used a different card. At least the second time I called, that person on the phone was more willing to help me. After no luck, I get off the phone and go somewhere else. The next day, I noticed two pending charges on my cards for the BBQ, I called and asked the restaurant about them and they said since there was NO ORDER THAT WENT THROUGH the pending charges should go away. Another two days later and the charges have CLEARED my account and I cannot get help from Dickey's or my bank. Very upset with the lack of assistance from the store and how rude the person on the...

** Take your money somewhere else** This is the 2nd time I've ordered from this place through GrubHub. The 1st time I ordered was several months ago and that was a 1/2 lb of sliced brisket, however about 1/2 of that was chunks of fat. I've been to Dickey's on Power and Baseline and have not had this issue. I've been to Rudy's BBQ on Higley and Baseline and no issues. But here we go again, I made a 2nd order recently (giving them a chance) through GrubHub and what I received again was 1/2 of sliced brisket but half of that was all fat. To top it off, they also served me burnt biscuits (check out my pictures). I called spoke to a Dustin who says they have no manager on the floor at night. I'll never come back to this place and I'll be sure to let everyone know why.

I had been dying to try this place for months. Brisket and cheese tacos!!! I'm in. Brisket Mac and Cheese, yes please! Ordered from GrubHub to be delivered. Order came super fast, which is a plus, but the quantity to cost ratio leaves a lot to be desired. I've been ordering a lot of takeout since COVID and noticing that many places are not giving nearly as much food to go as they would if you ordered in person. I almost never complain, but pictures speak a thousand words...plate was $17 and taco was $4. Food tastes amazing though.
