This place is delicious Az Mexican food and the portions are great! They have a condiment bar for you to put what you want on your tacos, cilantro, red and white onion , pickled carrots and lemon and everything was fresh! The tortillas were very good as homemade! The burrito came with sautéed onion and grilled pepper which put it over the top for me! This is a must try place! Staff was very friendly and I will be back!

Not joking when I say their Al Pastor tacos are the BEST I've ever had in my life! Edit: Two years later, this place still has bomb food. Unfortunately they don't do the spinning grill anymore but the pastor tacos are still pretty good. I am giving them a one star rating until the staff starts wearing masks.

8/26/24 This time had 2 carne asada plates. Came with about 3 strips of flat steak (decent size) sorry no pic was hangry...rice was very plain the beans were very tasty(good) . O prefer the small tortillas for the combo plates but u get that 20 in tortilla. Overall it was good . Oh yeah about 14 bucks a plate

Just accidentally came across this place. It's outside there grilling and killing it. I had the carne asada burrito it's was pretty good meat, pico n guac. Only thing I didn't like is that there salsas , jalapeños,limes, and lemons ( u know the condiments) were out on ice but uncovered or barely covered with saran wrap and as we all know a whole of flies were all over that stuff so I didn't get any. Will go back to try different items just not...

Agreed, there is Mexican fare around everywhere, and some are great, some just o.k. We are fortunate to have a superb restaurant close by housed in a Valero gas station at the corner of McKellips & Mesa Drive. Easy to miss, small, limited seating catering to those who wish for original homemade Mexican food. After dining 5* in Scottsdale, our guests insisted we dine at the gas station the next night, a 180 change in cuisine. Once again, no one was disappointed. We have tried and enjoyed many options there. My wife loves the bean tostada w/fresh guacamole. I opt for (2) fish tacos (they are big-a meal). Plus, if the restaurant is packed with Mexicans, you know it’s original and fresh. We do take out 1-2 times a week. Wherever you are, it’s worth the...

Wow. I was apprehensive, walking into a gas station for Mexican food. But then we tried the chips and salsa while watching a bit of tv in Spanish, the background music a catchy collection of tunes in Spanish. Great atmosphere in a corner of a gas station.

And then our food came out (so quickly!). It's fast, but it's REAL. The giant flour tortillas are no cheapy store bought bag tortillas. The burritos (both bean and cheese and breakfast burritos) are huge, flavorful, and freshly assembled. They don't skimp, and we couldn't not finish, even as we felt full. Every delicious bite was worth the overeating.

On top of that, the staff are...
