Okay I've been to the hub plenty of times but I haven't been back to this location since it burned down and was rebuilt. I go to the one on Stapley for the most part this one is closer to home. We were immediately seated which was nice we went ahead and ordered 2 lb of the Cajun dry rub smoked Wings which are usually incredible. I'll get to that though. The wings came out fairly quick within about 15 to 20 minutes the problem being that our waitress never came back with our drinks or to get our orders for dinner. When the other waiter brought our food I let him know that we were ready to order our main course and he promptly let the waitress know who came over about 5 minutes later. Now I don't think it was so busy that it should have taken this long on the waitress side but maybe I'm wrong. We went ahead and ordered our food proceeded to wait about a half an hour, I ordered a cup of chili my kiddo ordered a double burger in my other kiddo ordered the pulled pork macaroni and cheese. Here's an analysis of the food. Unfortunately there is nothing Cajun anymore about these Wings unless someone messed up the spice rub today as they were actually sweet there was no spice to them whatsoever and did not have anything resembling a Cajun flavor. Very disappointing however the wings were cooked very well so there's that. My chili was also sweet which was unexpected and definitely disappointing as well I took about three bites and could not eat anymore my kiddos took a bite and did not want any either. The devil Burger was tasty however very very greasy and we asked for medium rare and it came out medium well. The mac and cheese was just okay at best, it really did not have a whole lot of flavor it was supposed to be a spicy mac and cheese and there was virtually no spice or flavor to this the pulled pork got lost in the mix and had no flavor although it was tender. The only reason I'm giving the service of four is because everybody except for a waitress was very attentive and helped us when we needed things like napkins or additional Ranch being that we got one Ranch cup for 2 lb of wings. The atmosphere was the atmosphere nothing special however they did have many games playing on the TVs and the place was well kept so it gets a four the food gets a three and honestly I think I'm being generous at that. We dropped $100 and walked out disappointed after having high hopes for this location that had reopened again. Not sure if it was an off day or not but it wasn't fun spending $100 for an off day and not enjoying really any of my food other than the burger. Feel free to reach...
Read moreGood food as always, spoiled by older entitled patrons and NOT KID FRIENDLY. We have longed for our local favorite to reopen and the food hasn't disappointed. What did ruin our lovely family lunch this time was entitled, aggressive patrons smoking within 20 ft of the restaurant doors and the staff not willing to do anything. As we were waiting for our table, we decided to wait outside on the patio. Some of the patio is considered far enough from the doors to be allowed to be a smoking area even though its a covered patio. We decided to sit and wait outdoors as there was no space inside due to the 25min wait time. We opened a tab for some drinks. Within two mins, an old guy comes out sits down within 20feet of the front doors, right next to where we were sitting and lit up his cigarette. I asked if he would mind moving as i have young kids and the smoke is a health issue. The response was that it was my fault for sitting in the smoking area. I explained that there wasnt anywhere else to wait while we waited for our table, i asked him politely again, to which he started becoming aggressive. I moved my family to a different area of the patio as soon as other smokers went back inside, as we couldnt sit there originally as there were 3x smokers and wasnt an option. Az law doesnt allow smoking within 20ft of doors or ventilation but obviously this old guys cigarettes are more important and the staff wont do anything. This might be the last time we eat here unless this policy changes. We have eaten here 3 times this week dropp8ng nearly $400 as we really missed the restaurant. Ultimately, at The Hub, you cant sit outside and enjoy your food or wait for a seat on the patio if you arent a smoker. As its a popular location, you are nearly always going to have to wait. Cigarette smoke near where you are eating is unacceptable or near where you are waiting with young families. Its a sign of the times when other people are unable to take into consideration how their actions may affect others, where as the night before we were first responders at a road traffic accident looking after others hurt in an accident. My Liberties stop at your nose, and your liberties stop at my noise. You dont get to do what you want. The Hub needs to remove all smoking areas under the patio to protect younf...

Sigh.
Too many good food days.
Because of this, in July wife and I went back on keto. Good news is we've both lost 25 pounds. Bad news, no more nachos. The Hub has great nachos.
Today, wife wanted to try the cauliflower nachos. I hate cauliflower. We decided to get the cauliflower nachos but with the regular nacho toppings. The regular order of cauliflower nachos does not sound that appetizing.
The waitress said they would accept our changes. The order came and I was pleasantly surprised. No, it's not nachos, but it'll suffice. The queso is probably carbier than I should have, but the cauliflower nacho order is much smaller than the normal nacho order so probably didn't have too many.
They were good enough that we went back for more than next night! Double thumbs up on the cauliflower nachos (with regular nacho toppings and carne asada.)
June 2024 This is a love/hate relationship. Not like Love/Hate the '90s metal hair band that was completely underrated and made some of the best music ever. Love/hate because of the taste of food and decisions of management.
Like my previous review, we went for the nachos and beer cheese. Wait a second. Menu change. No beer cheese. Maybe it's a secret menu option. Shot down again. No beer cheese. How about the green chili burrito. Nope. So disappointed.
Let's order the nachos anyway and get a couple extra cheese sauces.
"Holy sh!t!' Those were my words when they brought our the nachos. I do not think I've ever seen a nacho plate stacked so high. They were gynormous. Don't worry. I took a picture, check it out. And they were delicious even without the beer cheese.
A few minutes later, a couple of tables away, we heard the same line, "holy sh!t." I looked over and they also ordered the nachos. I heard the table discuss that they had ordered the nachos in the past and have never been that big. They argued with the waitress who claimed that they have always been that big. We had also ordered them in the past and have never been that big.
But all that doesn't matter. They were delicious. So good, that we went back the next day and ordered them again!
Also, get the Hub Punch. Be forwarned. It's dangerously good.
We will definitely be back.
