NEVER GO HERE FOR CAKES Lack of Care, Presentation, and Quality I’ve had cakes made here in the past and no issues. But today was the worst experience I’ve ever had with this business. We had order a cake over a month ago to be completed for the morning of my mother’s birthday party. All details of having the cake to be white, with chocolate covered strawberries and fresh fruit while having a burgundy trim were understood and written down to be perfect for the day of her party. My parents arrived to pick up the cake and the person at the counter said “the cake wasn’t suppose to be ready until 10am.” Excuse me? This cake that you’ve had the past two days to get ready is completely white. The guy at the counter brings it to the back, and slaps on neon pink and purple onto the cake and cracks the frosting leaving it a mess. We decided to put strawberries on it to fix the mess they made. My parents paid over $150 dollars for a effin mess of cake. Nothing on this cake was what they requested on top of the terrible quality of presentation. The cake is crucial part of any birthday celebration, and the service here was god awfully rude for the price we had to pay. Lack of quality and presentation for the cake being made. I’m disgusted and we will not be coming back or referring anyone to this bakery ever again. They are lucky it wasn’t me who was in there when they went to pick up the cake. I’m sure they won’t even bother to try to refund, if they really treated the cake the way...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. I have never written a review like this before, but I'm extremely frustrated with this owner right now. I ordered from Uber Eats and I have the receipt to prove what I ordered. My order was: Spinach pie, Zaatar pie with two eggs over medium, Baba ganoush plate, Vegetarian grape leaves, Namoura, and a piece of chocolate baklava. What I received: Spinach Pie, Meat Grape Leaves, Hummus in a container, Namoura, and two pieces a chocolate baklava. I called the owner to tell him that I must have gotten the wrong order. He told me that he is busy so he didn't have time to call me to tell me they were out of Baba ganoush, so he made the assumption that I would be okay with receiving Hummus instead. I then explained that I didn't get the Zaatar pie, and he argued me up and down that I never ordered it, despite me telling him it was in my receipt. He told me he made it up to me by giving me double baklava (which was the worst baklava I've ever tasted, by the way, and they were tiny pieces, so I'm not sure how he thought this would be adequate compensation for getting my order wrong). He told me I should be happy and not complain. I've never dealt with an owner like this before. Having worked in restaurants for 25 years, I have no idea how this man is still in business,...
Read moreA friend and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 3 p after I had heard good things. We were in search of a “feel good” sweet treat. Upon entering, the dessert cases weren’t chock full of treats which was expected at the late hour for a bakery and a very nice man warmly greeted us. As we started a conversation with him, we learned he was the owner, Abdo, and he was very helpful in explaining the different sweet treats.
We decided to share a slice of chocolate mousse cake topped with an Oreo cookie, a cashew baklava and a coconut topped walnut (we think) baklava. As Abdo was packing our treats, we noticed he added a few cashew rolls.
When we were ready to pay, he said it was his treat to us. This 5-star review isn’t because our treats were complimentary but for his friendly, warm welcome and the treats were terrific!!
Thank you Abdo!...
