Horrible service and food!!! I went here with my fiance for the first time on November 2018. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come over to our table, and 20 minutes for our drinks. Then it took 40 minutes for our soup, because the waitress had forgot, and it was cold by the time we got it. Then it took an hour for our dinner to arrive. The waitress did not give us bread, or water refills, no drink refills, and did not check to see how our food was, or if we needed anything else. We were completely ignored. When the people around us who sat down 20 minutes after us with the same waitress recieved all of those services. They got their drinks, water refills, two baskets of bread, appetizers and soup within 15-20 minutes. When we waited 40 minutes for cold soup!!! Therefore, they must cater to their regular customers. I would not recommend this place if you have never been here before, because it clearly shows that they don't care about getting new customers. We got the ribeye and steak tips. They were both bland, no seasoning or flavor. The mashed potatoes tastes bad and the carrots were hard and not cooked enough. The food was not worth the price or the wait!!! I suggest you bring your sweetheart somewhere else, and not to the Sweetheart Inn!!! We spent a total of two hours here for dinner and we will never eat here again!!! I am disappointed and disgusted with the service and food from the...
Read moreWent on a recommendation and glad we did. Unless you know this place is there you would never know it. Unfortunately it is in the middle of nowhere which concerns me a bit for the owners. Started with 4 warm rolls which is always nice. Friendly and mostly helpful waitress. I did ask for my sides to be double veggies which was not a problem, I got the squash and broccoli (more on that later). My wife and I both ordered the baked haddock and it came quick, was generally portioned for lunch @ $17. Food came quick and hot, no issues with the lunch. Obligatory check from the waitress a few times to make sure all was ok which is always nice. The only issue I did have was with the bill and it was not a major one that would keep me from going back. I was charged $2.00 for the broccoli, when I questioned it the waitress said there was an up charge on broccoli of $2.00, which I was not made aware of. Like it said not a deal breaker but not told about the charge. Still not sure if I was charged for double veggie(which I ordered as my two sides) or the fact that broccoli was a $2.00 up charge. Either way this should not have been charged. Related to price, the coke was highest around at $4.00 and my wife’s salad was an up charge of $4.00 to replace one of her sides. We...
Read moreI want to thank everyone who gave me suggestions on my last post for date night!! The Sweetheart Inn was aaahhmazing!! We initially had reservations for 5:45 but our sitter came to the house early so we showed up to the restaurant at 5pm. To our surprise they seated me right away. literally NO WAIT!
Everyone was super nice. My husband and I started out with a red sangria and a Pinot Grigio. Red sangria was delicious! Then we got the sampler appetizer pictured below. Chicken tenders, mozzarella triangles, potato skins, and Bavarian pretzel bites (the honey mustard was house made and it was the best I’ve had)
For the entree hubby got the teryaki bowl and addedd salmon on top. Salmon was cooked perfectly and the rice and veggies was so flavorful. I got the surf & Turf marinated steak tips asked for it medium and it was cooked to perfection. Nice and pink on the inside and beautiful char on the outside with the lobster pie! It was filled with lobster and nice buttery! That came with 2 sides. So I got mashed and squash. Squash was perfect but the mashed were a little dry for my liking but still good. 10/10 recommend. We’ll definitely be back! We finished our date night at BJ wholesale. Lol 😂 this is what our date nights look like at age 41 with twin...
