I've ordered from here multiple times. The food is always perfect and hot. They are very consistent in their preparation of the food so I know what I'm going to get everytime I order. The chicken fingers are probably the best Chinese chicken fingers I've ever had and I've eaten Chinese all across the USA . The fried rice is on point, they even add a little honey which gives it an awesome flavor when they saute it. The crab Rangoons are good but can better, maybe a little more stuffing and more cheese less filler , but they do the trick. I love their chicken wings , they are perfect and the wings are huge. All the generals chicken are fantastic. The sesame and orange chicken are also really good and the portions are huge, not filled with trees of broccoli for filler it's all meat and the container is full. They give you plenty of sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard cups for the order so I don't need to ask for more. The prices are average and the portions are huge. Prep time for my orders have never been more than 15 minutes and that's for large almost 100$ orders so no long wait during a Saturday night dinner rush. Overall this restaurant is one of my top 3 favorites out of over a hundred different Chinese restaurants I've eaten at in my...
Read moreI've been eating here for 4 months after hiking and I have seen all the reviews. Far East is an excellent example of Boston/New England Chinese food. I've had the S&S chicken, chicken wings and fingers, 2 types of beef sticks, pork strips, and fried rice. The only thing that was kinda meh was the egg roll which was disappointing, everything else was excellent. I can't wait to eat the leftovers. I ordered a scorpion bowl by accident thinking I was at the Bali Hai, and they had it. 5 stars.
2/17/25 Ha Ha, you didn't give me scallion beef. You gave me a mound of beef, veggies, and 5 scallops from what I could tell. It was very good and there was a lot of it, but it wasn't scallion beef! LOL. They sell scallions at the Hannaford's down the street. I have bought them their for spinach pie. See you soon for the combo 15, it's great!
8/13/25 I ordered Gen Tso's Chicken for the first time ever. I Know, I know, i've eaten chinese food for 48 years, but i've never order GTC. It was glorious, golden and shiny, enough for 3 people at least plus white rice, Ha Ha. I did my best, but I had to take most of it home. It was so good and they give you so much. I washed it down with 2 amazing Mai Thai.
If you are in Mexico go to the Far East for...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst "Chinese' food I have ever had. Barely edible. Greasy, nasty tasting food. . .If I could leave no stars I would. This place used to have really good food. Then, the original owners sold out and new management took over. They immediately started using cheaper food products and changed the recipe on many items. Since the changes, I have bought food there on three occasions. It was terrible every time. Total waste of money. If you want good Chinese food, drive the few extra miles to the Lotus Blossom in Farmington, Maine. The food is always excellent and they have very generous portions. You may pay a little bit more but it is well worth it. I will not go to any Chinese restaurant around here other than the Lotus Blossom. To make matters worse, the Far East charges an automatic tip for take out orders, with a minimum tip charge of 18%. Totally outrageous, if not illegal. At the Lotus Blossom, there is no extra charge for take out orders. If you are thinking of going to the Far East to spend a significant amount of money, DO NOT DO IT. You will be very...
