Went for the first time tonight. Walked in and asked if we should just sit anywhere and he guy behind the bar said yes. He stated that we had to order at the bar but the food would be brought to our table. He stated there were no waitresses. I tried a sample of the beer on tap and told him I would just take a Coke. I stood there for a couple minutes and never got my Coke so I went to sit down. After about 10 minutes I still hadn’t gotten the Coke so I walked back up to the bar and asked him and he pointed to the glass sitting on the bar. He never said anything to me about my drink being ready nor did he bother to bring it to me. A little later a lady walked in and walked behind the bar as if she worked there. It was about 10 minutes before she walked over to us and took our order. She seemed a bit unsure of what she was doing throughout the whole process. That’s the way the entire meal went. We had to wait for everything! My friend ordered a drink and we had to remind the server of her order. We waited quite a while after finishing eating and finally asked for our check. The food is very good but the service left a lot to be desired. I will go back but with the idea that it will take awhile...

This secret little bar should be your next stop when you find yourself cruising river road. The perfect pull in spot to get trapped for a few hours. We have watched this business evolve over the years to become one of our favorite go to's during a weekend drive. The staff is on the ball and eager to please with an impressive selection of top and mid shelf liquors including some hard to find bourbons. The owner generously shares some of these tasty bottles during guided tastings, and brewery's frequently stop by to provide their own tastings as well. As far as beer goes, they have many a chalkboard series on tap and on rotation so you'll be sure to find something new. As for food, it is again top notch and some of the best Mexican food this side of the Ohio. Be sure to try the taco's. You will always find ample seating and someone to talk to, as well as an exquisite private room for wine tasting or a private group. Great place! Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. We got a gift card to Biermarkt and decided to try it out. Great beverage selection. 20 different beers on top with several local selections. Just by my preference, I wish they had more non IPA's. Seemed like 12+ of the 20 were IPA. I know it's a popular selection, so I understand why they have so many, just not in my taste profile. Food was delicious. My wife and I tried all the protein tacos and the guacamole. I had to try the wings as well.. they were surprisingly excellent. I got 3 plain and tried the sweet and spicy sauce, which was ok. The wings themselves didn't need any sauce honestly. We got 3 with the garlic and cheese sauce. They cheese they used was a little overboard, but overall the flavor was good. I would eat the wing with just Buffalo sauce if I got more. Top 5 wings just the basic way.
