Rivals Brew Pub — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

Rivals is consistently great. I organize a social gathering weekly with an organization I'm part of and we keep comming back becasue honestly Rivals atmosphere, service, and the food is the best in the immediate area where we meet in Middleburg Heights. You will not be disappointed comming in anytime for any meal at Rivals.

The bar is great too and has an impressive selection of beers and drinks that come out quickly and prepared with care.

The food is consistently tasty and prepared with pride and great presentation. I've had a number of dishes on their menu (from appetizers, salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, wings, to entrées) and nothing has disappointed me yet.

Tonight I splurged on a steak dinner and honestly it was one of the best steaks I've had ordering in a restaurant in years (even compared to places known for their steaks). The kitchen did an awesome job grilling the steak to a perfect medium rare, the way I ordered it, with an awesome compound butter on top. The youkon gold potatoes were fabulous. Also the beautifully presented grilled zucchini made this usual not a fan of zucchini actually enjoying something so simply prepared and grilled to perfection. Kudos to whoever was grilling in the kitchen tonight becasue you are grilling master. I went there today with my friend, we sat on the outside patio as it’s a beautiful day. My friend and I both ordered food to be carried out. After a while, my food was brought to me in a bag already tied, and we were told that her order would be out shortly. Approximately 45 minutes after we sat down, my friend still didn’t have her food, and mine was completely cold and soggy. We asked for her money back and we left. Upon arriving home I finally opened the food I’d received, and it wasn’t my order. I contacted the restaurant, explained what had happened and was told I’d have an order ready in 20 minutes along with a gift card for my inconvenience. When I arrived, the food wasn’t ready just yet, everyone was very kind and friendly, and more than one person checked on me while I waited. I was given my food and gift card. What I was supposed to have was a cheeseburger, onion rings, and ranch dressing. That is not what was in either order I was given. The “cheeseburger” had no cheese, no pickles, no mustard ketchup Mayo, or anything. The ranch is actually honey mustard. And this was the fixed order that I had to go back for. More than one star because of the menu, prices, and atmosphere. The staff here ruins the restaurant. Hands down. I honestly feel bad for the owners. This is far from the first visit for me (in hopes that there will be better service because this is my favorite patio set up in the area) and I don't know if I'm willing to return. After spending no less than $50 every time I visit and I've already been there 4 times this year since the patio open.. And I can only imagine how many other people feel the same way and how much business this place is missing out on because of the poor service. No hustle, no personable conversations.. Spent $90 for four people during brunch today and we saw our server 4 times in 2 hours. She also forgot to ring in our first round and I heard her ask the bartender for it 10 minutes after we ordered them. I'm from the industry. Have been in it for almost 12 years. Working my way up from bussing and hostessing and I truly feel like serving is an earned position in this field. DEFINITELY Bartending as well.
