Macarena’s Delicious Mexican Dishes and Bar — Restaurant in Midland

We come here once a week and if not more with my co-workers… and have always loved it until recently , my husband ordered the ribeye aquachiles and I the caldo de res, we got there and ordered 2 margaritas, she only brought one, no biggie, 15 mins later she finally comes to the table and we ask for our second one, about another 15 mins she finally comes and takes our order. Time passes, we get the aquachiles and the side of charro beans I ordered, we asked her about the caldo, 20-30mins passes she brings ANOTHER aquachiles, so we tell her no we got caldo de res and asked for 2 Mexican candy shots.. she completely ignored us the rest of the time and had to get another waitress to get us our Mexican candy shots and told the girl up front to just make our food to go, considering we had been there over an hour with no refills or update on our food that was never put in to begin with… really sucks because we loved this place for the last 3 years and was like a routine for us… but seems like all the good servers have left. Just in Midland for 1 full day and had to choose where to eat. Came here based on Google reviews which is why I’m adding my own since I rely heavily on them when trying something new.

We ordered the trio fajitas (chicken, shrimp, steak) and split between 2. When the food came out, they weren’t sizzling on the platter as they usually are at other restaurants so I was curious how they would be. Oh my! They were the most amazing tasting fajitas I’ve ever had! I tried the shrimp first and thought, wow, I would order shrimp only next time. They were that good! And then I tried the chicken. Oh my gosh! Amazing! Then the thought came that I would order chicken and shrimp. You know what comes next. I tried the steak and I know I would get the trip again. The flavor was out of this world amazing! I don’t know what they use to flavor this with m, but it’s making my mouth water thinking about it!

This WAS my favorite restaurant we come here so much the staff knows us. Felix is the best waiter, lately we get whoever is available and he still checks on us and sometimes has to get them to check on us . Today Aurora was our waitress, it was 2:30pm not busy at all. We didn’t get a single refill. Our order was not taken properly, she fixed one and made a comment of good thing I haven’t ate . I asked for enchiladas verdes but the sauce was the spicy green and not the jalapeño cream . She said you said green I said they’re both green. She said they’re not that spicy, I just ate them. When it came time to pay she had charged both nachos . I asked her about it and she said she thought she took it off since now she has to pay it. I walked to the front to speak to the manager and she followed me thinking I’d leave without paying. She charged $17 gratuity. The manager was understanding and offered to take the wrong orders off the bill . I let him know I already paid , I just wanted him to know what a bad service she provided.
