Bojangles — Restaurant in Midlothian

Edit as of 9/4/24: Unfortunately things have not changed. After a year, they changed their breakfast dining hours so they were open earlier. This appeared to be a good sign that new management had taken over. Went through the drive through and it was fairly efficient. Then I went back a different day at 6:00 PM, peak supper time. I went assuming the wait might be longer because of the time but there was no one else in the restaurant nor in the drive thru. Staff behind the counter were goofing off and I had to wait for them to finish their silly game before I could order. Then I tried to place an order and was told they were ‘out of chicken’. If a restaurant that serves solely chicken cannot provide chicken during regular meal times, management has failed miserably. Also, if you allow your staff to be lazy instead of teaching them to make chicken when it’s needed, you need to rethink your training program.

Bojangles has great food but this location is poorly managed. They have been closed many times when the hours showed them being open.Apparently the shift manager wasnt there to unlock the doors. Last visit, I watched a group of three staff go into the dumpster enclosure and shut themselves in. Not sure what was going on but I'd rather not know. What good is it to have a chicken place that has no chicken, mac and cheese, or other things on your menu?? Waited in drive thru for 15 mins because they took my money and then told me they had no chicken ready only to have my order be completely wrong. Went inside to fix my order. They didn't have any mac and cheese for the extra one I had already paid for and waited for. They didn't have 1 chicken leg that I had already waited 15 mins for already. And they wanted me to wait again for that chicken leg. I told them to keep it and I guess they only cook 2 chicken legs at a time cause they were supposed to have JUST cooked the chicken! Don’t even attempt to place a mobile order. Restaurant claimed they couldn’t find the ticket for our order, so we never got the order we paid for. I would’ve asked for help in store, but no one ever came back to the register in the 15 min we sat and waited. Food and drinks were stacked all over the place behind the counter. Staff genuinely could not care less. My expectations for bojangles are always low, but wow. This was the most unprofessional fast food experience I’ve ever had, and that is saying a lot. We decided to leave the restaurant after noticing that it had fallen dead silent.
