China Taste — Restaurant in Midlothian

I've been visiting there multiple times and I love the way they cook their food and they're very good, especially the chicken and broccoli, include the Happy Family. They have a pretty good service and they're are awesome. I live in Central Virginia near Richmond, so the nearest China Taste that is located is on Courthouse Rd near Evergreen Elementary School and a Food Lion across the street. It's by a Shell Gas Station and behind the Gas Station is a small shopping center. I've been to multiple different Chinese restaurants and I love some of them, and some of them are okay, some not so great to me in my opinion. Otherwise, China Taste is my top 3rs best Chinese restaurant nearby in my area...

I like the Hunan Chicken here. This is often hit or miss depending on how a takeout place makes it but this place is good. The chicken and broccoli was good as well. Very reasonable price for the lunch specials. Clean interior, no frills.

Pretty much liked everything I've tried here so far EXCEPT the honey chicken. Was expecting something different. The version here is strange. The chicken was fried and drenched in honey and mixed with baby corn, celery and carrots. The flavors just don't mix well. Couldn't finish it. I've gone out of my way to visit this restaurant and the last visit has put me in a position of not coming back. The lunch special is what I ordered and let's just say I got to my office and ordered something else because of the used/old oil I kept tasting in three bites of chicken that I ordered. I guess if I decide to go back I will inquire about the condition of the oil. I saw new faces so I'm thinking it's under new management or ownership. Needless to say it was not worth my time the last visit. It will be a while...
