Radar’s Dairy Bar - Mifflin, OH — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

I've been coming here for years. Last night 7-13-18, I went there to order my usual: soft serve in a dish with peanut butter sauce, the girl asked me if I wanted a sundae and I said I never called it that. I always ordered ice cream in a dish with peanut butter sauce. But I don't want any whip cream, or nuts or a cherry, just the ice cream and peanut butter sauce. We even repeated it back to her twice and when our order came up, it had whip cream, nuts and a cherry. I explained to the lady (also the owner) that's not what I ordered. The owner called me back up and said that they always make mine just for me and they didn't have to... Ok, I understand that, however, her demeanor she used towards me. When a customer requests a certain way food or desserts to their liking, then it should be prepared that way. I don't eat cones and have always preferred bowls. Also my order wasn't the only one the girl messes up. There was a lady with her younger daughter before us ordered the hot fudge milkshake, and when they called her number up, the lady said she ordered a milkshake not a sundae.. Perhaps the girl taking the orders wasn't listening or just didn't care Matters not, I will not be back and hopefully they can get their staff all on the same page and get customers orders to the way that they ordered, like mine and the lady before me. Great ice cream! I have been going there for years. My family use to go there everytime we went to Pleasent Hill. It was out pitstop on the way home. Great place to grab a snack and cool off on a hot summer day. They also have hot food! They provide Slushes, Shakes, Softserve, Hard dip, Sundaes, Flurries, you name it they more than likely have it. The last time I went i managed to get a pineapple sunday. I asked the nice lady if she could put cherry syrup in it as well, so it would be similar to a hawiann sunday which they have at my local ice cream parlor. She delightfully accepted the task and it worked out just fine! I would recommend this place to anyone...

About a week ago, my granddaughter and I had shredded chicken sandwiches. They were horrible, looked and tasted like salty dog food (was surprised because I had one there a few years ago and it was awesome). We weren't impressed with the french fries either, less fries than a McDonald's small for $3.00, nothing to brag about. Needless to say, we won't be going back there to eat.. Hopefully the ice cream is better...
