SALAD COVERED IN DIRT ANYONE?
Got a family sized Caesar. $14 and a large cheese pizza. So when we got home, which is 35 minutes from this pizza places location, I went to put the salad in a bowl to add the caesar dressing and mix it in and I notice a ton of this brown stuff on many of back side of the very large carelessly ripped up massive pieces of lettuce. At first, I assumed it was the crouton crumbs and decided to make sure by tasting it- NOPE to my very unpleasant surprise it was SAND/DIRT- there was so much! I’ve never seen such dirty lettuce 🤮🤮. So no effort was made to wash the lettuce and that is unacceptable. You buy a salad already loaded with other stuff, so you can’t wash it, and expect and trust it to be thoroughly washed before served to you. If I had taken one bite of this I would’ve never been able to order a salad from anywhere ever again- huge turnoff just knowing someone could be so careless. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t freaking rub the lettuce on actual dirt because I’ve never ever bought lettuce to find it that covered in dirt. I went through this $14 box of lettuce too find many of the leaves were covered in dirt. Makes me feel as though it was maybe done on purpose there’s no way the person ripping that lettuce up wouldn’t not noticed how unbelievably dirty it was. The girl at the counter was pleasant but the pushy suggestive tip “sign and tip please” was enough to make me want to run but I tipped as I’ve tried there food when they first opened and it wasn’t my favorite but wasn’t bad. They gave up, they’ve only been there for like 2 years. Never...
Read moreNot a good experience. I tried to place a pizza order last night. I called 3 times but the phone kept going to a voice mailbox which was full. Odd for a business. So I went online, made an account & put in a pizza order that went all the way to the end. It showed 1 item in the cart & a price on the top, right corner but the entire screen was blank. I did it 2x more. Was it ordered or not? I had called a 2nd order into another local pizza down the road since Zizza doesn't offer any hamburg or meatball or ham toppings, my favorite). We don't eat spicy so no hot Ital. sausage, salami (?), etc. I'm glad I ordered the extra pizza down the road since there was NO order for me when I stopped in. We had only one for dinner. Imagine the business they could do if they had a better phone/online ordering system AND a beef/ham option. The girl at the desk didn't seem too upset & actually said, "I heard others say they couldn't call in." So, I guess? I couldn't place an order TWO different ways & she said, "You want to wait another 20 mins & we can make one?" Another 20 mins? Sorry, hey don't seem to want my business now or when first opened, as I asked abt different toppings & I rec'd a "No, we won't carry a beef product." And a premium price for pepperoni is not right. Coming from NY/NJ area, I'm not impressed but I do think the crust is good. Too bad as I usually get a couple of...
Read moreFive stars (& keep going!) Hats off to Tony & his entire staff at Zizza Pizzeria in Milford, NH. Not only have my wife & I ordered several (we've now lost track) specialty, artisan pizzas off their menu, but nearly every single pie we ordered, from the Bianca Formaggi white pizza, with fresh garlic oil, riccotta, parmesan & mozzarella cheese, to the incredibly tasty & well-balanced Prosciutto, Fig & Rosemary pie, to the wonderful semi-vegetarian Mediteranian pizza, with fresh spinach, feta cheese, black olives, sliced tomatoes & shredded mozzarella cheese on a perfect, hand thrown, breaded artisan crust, was individually & carefully created, as if we were their only customers of the day. This isn't lazy, faux Italian food or pizza but authentic Italian cuisine, honoring centuries of tradition. We in the greater Milford, NH area are very fortunate & quite frankly lucky to have such a fine Italian eatery in our midst & their prices are reasonable for the quality of the product they serve. When you order a pizza or other food, including their great salads, be prepared to sink your teeth into not just a ho-hum, pedestrian and average pie but a pizza that any New Yorker would be jealous of and any Italian would proudly say, "Yes, this is from my people & my culture's cuisine." Just can't get a bad pizza or meal from this place. We'll be back (for like the 50th time!) Best pizza...
