I have such a normal weekly schedule that I've had for 5 years now. I shop the sane day of the week at the same time. I know all the employees and they recognize my kids and I by name. They are always so helpful. My 2 little ones are a year apart so shopping can be tough with them. The managers and staff can be very helpful for sure. Around Halloween one of the managers have my kids Halloween treats. When I walked in with a screaming baby and a wild toddler another one have me a hand getti g a shopping cart. They are all so helpful. They tend to treat you like more then just another customer with screaming kids. I have a family of 7 so I shop every week and buy a lot of groceries. I am always asked if they can help me to the car and to help load my car. I appreciate it but I'm the way I am and always decline unless I have a second cart. I could do all my shopping elsewhere but I love and appreciate the service and product I get everytime I walk in the door. Thank you for always being you. For caring about customers and giving great customer service. I have not seen this kind of service in any other market basket or anywhere else in general. So thank you...
Read moreBest prices around for most groceries. As for everything else, you can find better prices on some items elsewhere. Location convenience is major as it 12 mins from my house. Cold cuts, seafood, meat and produce departments are great. Bakery is understaffed and with the new fast food/sandwiches line of items, sometimes you need to chase people to get what you need from the bakery. The other area of concern in bagging at the registers. Very few people that work there know how to pack groceries. Most will just slam bag of apples over your tomatoes and don't even care. So, you spend couple hundred $$$ on weekly groceries and the person at the bagging area will ruin the whole other good experience. Market Basket need to spend more time training people on how to properly bag groceries as people are not leaving the store happy. Few times have told a manager, and they respond with "I will talk with the employee", but the problem is not just one employee, but it is clearly oversight on the store management training part. No hopes for Internet in this store either as it is known for dead...
Read moreI've been going here for years, and to me it's the best choice for general grocery shopping or even a quick bite to eat. Every time I go in there it seems like they've improved one section or another, so the place always feels fresh. Management seems to run a tight ship, as the products displays often look immaculate. Sometimes I like to stand back and just take in how neatly organized all of it is.
Their prices are excellent. Their selection always keeps things fresh. Their private label products are high quality and very affordable.
My one point of criticism; a handful of the employees really need to learn what kind of conversations are appropriate for a public work environment. Some of these conversations range from overtly vulgar to downright problematic. While I'm not easily offended, I know that's not true for everyone. I typically come here alone, but sometimes I bring my daughters with me and I'd rather not have them wondering what a cr*head or a retd was. I chalk this all up to inexperience, and don't let it impact my view of market...
