A friend and I stopped by for German buffet on Friday, jan 11, 2019. We got there about 7:30 pm which was about 30 minutes before closing.
There was PLENTY of food on the buffet. The pork schnitzels were HUGE and perfectly cooked. Loved the sauerkraut and bratwurst! The red cabbages and apples was awesome! I am not a cauliflower fan but my friend enjoyed it. The potato salad was wonderful.
I saw that ridiculous review of that Carlie person. It is a buffet - what kind of presentation are you expecting? The food was definitely NOT cold except the salad bar items and those should be cold. The desserts were in a cooler.
The red velvet cake was to die for! I had some of the vanilla sauce and it was out of this world!
Next time we are passing through, my friend and I will definitely be stopping again!
Staff was friendly and polite. The owner, Renate, was delightful. Did you know that she built most of the restaurant herself??? Amazing!
My grandmother was from Germany and Renate's cooking reminds me a lot of what she cooked! I think that my grandmother would have enjoyed eating here. She was from Wölfersheim.
This is a really...
Read moreFirst time coming and was excited to go. Was not worth it. For a buffet restaurant that closes at 2, should at least have one more pan of a selling sides. Especially on a Sunday when you know you’re going to have a big crowd. There was barely any food left and we were still charged $20 an adult when none of us were even able to eat $20 worth. Granted kids were taken off the charge, but my mother just had one piece of fish. That’s one expensive piece of fish. Someone should have informed us before we sat down that there wasn’t enough food, but I guess that would be taking money away from the business. Selfishness. Granted all of us left hungry. On another note I read another review about the pricing and the average buffet price for a lunch is about $12-$15 and $20 for dinner and that’s for buffets that ACTUALLY have enough food for all...
Read moreSuch a great find! I found out about this restaurant late on Friday about 6:30 when Oktoberfest buffet event was until 8PM. Despite it being late, decided to just go check it out to get a general idea. When I got there was after 7PM. Not knowing anything about the place decided to go and see if it's possible to get a to-go order. While walking to the buffet got to see the place. It really is a large plantation style house with many small rooms, each in different style. Very nice. The food was awesome. Got a little bit of everything into the to-go boxes. Me and my wife were enjoying every bit of the food. We are Polish so German kitchen is right down our alley! Reminded home away from home. Me and my family will be there at 5 next...
