Wheelock inn — Restaurant in Millbury

Great staff, clean and nice place to have a drink and play keno. The food so far unfortunately was not very good. I had a ribeye steak it was gray in color and I'm guessing was frozen. It had zero flavor, no rubs, and very fatty. The 2nd visit I tried the ham steak which for some reason was plopped on a bed of beans. Beans and ham steak had zero flavor. It appeared they cater to an older crowd so maybe the no flavoring is to accommodate that demographic. Only thing I can think of. They put a lot of fried food out, which you can't go wrong. Would love to see some home cooked comfort meals with seasonings and taste but hey everyone has their opinion and overall besides the food cheap drinks, nice place,...

This review is only for the bar. Went there for a show paid a 10 cover to sit at the bar for no lie 20 to 30 minutes and be looked over by the bartenders. They helped all the men and regulars (some came back 2 or 3 times) and we got the ladies attn and she was so rude "yup in a min". Well a million minutes went by and we ended up leaving. It's also cash only which wouldnt be an issue if they posted that somewhere. More interested in serving men with wads of ones than any females. There is another great place to eat with the family and friends and great social atmosphere with local patrons and great food when I say great I mean awesome from what I've experienced in the past couple of months everything is top notch not much of a wait . The waitresses are right on top of everything not overbearing but definitely to make sure your experience is pleasant. And if you like Keno like I do screens are visible everywhere I'm definitely a plus for me hope you enjoy the same...
