Amazing Pizza Co. — Restaurant in Mills River

I love supporting small companies - but sometimes when food tastes like this it reminds me why I hesitate to try new (to me) places. The flavor is severely lacking, and the pizza is loaded with Sodium (fact) and (suspected) MSG (edited to ease the mind of the company). It sucks because ultimately that's how the US in its current environment makes it on small companies, it makes it to where smaller companies have to cut corners and buy the cheapest and lowest quality ingredients/items just so we can stay afloat, and unfortunately it shows in the quality of the food; and as American's we're very often exposed to this quality of food so it becomes the golden standard for us even though it's really just crap dressed up in a golden cape that's praised by the community because we don't know any better - or we settle for mediocrity. The people who work there seem to be really down to earth and have good energy, but unfortunately that doesn't outweigh the food...

We had Amazing Pizza for the first time and WOW it truly lives up to the name! I ordered through DoorDash, so I didn’t even get the full dine in-in experience, but the food alone blew us away. This was hands down the best pizza we’ve had in the 5 years we’ve lived here and honestly, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (only rivaled by the unforgettable pizza in Lake Lure). The crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh, and the flavor was out of this world. You can tell they put real care into what they make. If it tastes this good delivered, I can only imagine how amazing it must be fresh from their oven! Ok. I am from NY. Since I moved here 7 years ago I have tried so many different pizza places in search of good pizza. Being from NY and also being Italian I'm quite critical when it comes to food. Every place has its strengths and weaknesses. I have been back to APC 3 times since my original visit. I like that they offer 10" pizzas because it allows me to buy 2 or 3 at a time to sample the different options. So far I have not been disappointed, and trust me, I'm easily disappointed when it comes to pizza. I have tried, the supreme, buffalo chicken, white pizza, traditional white, and Italian.
